Theadjustmentismadewiththevehiclereadytodriveandthefueltankcompletelyfilled.
Thedriver’sseatmustbeloadedbyapersonora165lbs.(75kg)weightandthetirepressuresmustmeettheprescribedvalues.Afterbeingloaded,
thecarmustberolledafewmeterssothatthesuspensioncansettle.
Forcheckingtheheadlightadjustment,theverticalpositionofthecutoffofthelowbeam(seefig.)hastobeprojectedonaverticalscreen(wall)indistanceof24.6ft.(7.5m)fromthefrontlensoftheheadlamp.Thecorrectpositionofthecutoffis2.0in.(5cm)at24.6ft.or7.5m(0.4°)belowahorizontalline,xin.fromgroundtothecenteroftheheadlamplens.

Lateraladjustmentoftheheadlightsshouldbecarriedoutataspecialistworkshopwithanopticaladjustmentunit.

Visualaimshallbeperformedatnotlessthan24.6ft.(7.5m)(thisvalueisaroundeddownconversionfromthe25-footdistancetypicaloffieldaimusingascreen).The24.6ft.(7.5m)distanceismeasuredfromtheheadlamplenstotheviewingscreen.
Floor
Thesurfaceuponwhichthevehiclerestsisflatandapproximatelylevel.
Screen
Thescreenuponwhichheadlampbeamsareprojectedisperpendiculartothefloorandthevehicle’slongitudinalaxis,flat,uniformlylightincolor,unobstructed,andwideandhighenoughtoaccommodatethevehiclebeampatternstobeaimed.
Thescreenshouldbewideenoughtoprovideatleast3.3ft.(1m)ofspaceoutboardofthevehicle’sheadlampspacing.

Vehicletowing
FlatbedtowingisthepreferredtypeoftowingtobeusedonPorschevehicles.Undercertaincircumstances,wheelliftsmaybeusedwhenthevehiclewillnotroll.Thevehiclemustbetowedwithallfourwheelsofftheground,otherwisedamagetothevehiclemayresult.

Thetowinghookisstoredinthetoolboxintheluggagecompartment.

2.Pullcoveroutofthebumperandletithangbyitsthread.

2.Insertplasticcoverattheloweredgeoftheopening.
3.Foldthecoverupandpressonitsupperedgetoengageitinthebumper.

1.Positionwoodenrampsatthebaseoftheflatbedtoreducetheangleofthepull.
