Rangeonremainingfuel
Therangeonremainingfueliscontinuouslyrecalculatedduringthejourneybasedonthefuellevel,currentconsumptionandaverageconsumption.Themorethefuellevelfalls,themorespontaneouslythedisplayreacts.Forthisreason,therangeonremainingfuelisnotdisplayediflessthan9miles(15kilometers).
Ifthevehicle’sinclinationchangeswhiledrivingorrefueling,incorrectrangeinformationmaytemporarilybegiven.
Note
Ifthetankisnearlyemptyandyoutopupwithonlyasmallquantityoffuel,anaccuraterangeonremainingfuelisimpossible.
Averageconsumptionandaveragespeed
Thevaluesdisplayedarebasedonthedistancetravelledsincethelastresetto“zero”.
Youcansetthestartingtimeforameasurementbeforeorduringthetrip.Switchingtheignitionoffdoesnotresetthemeasurements.Itisthereforepossibletocollectvaluesoverlongperiods.Disconnectingthecarbatterywillcausethesememoriestobeerased.
Tirepressure
TheTirepressurefunctionoftheon-boardcomputerdisplaysthetirepressuresdependentontemperatureinthefourwheels.Youcanwatchthetirepressureriseandfallwhiledriving.Thedisplayisonlyforinformation.Tocorrectthetirepressures,alwaysusethedisplayedvaluesfromthe“Infopressure”displayintheTirepressuremenu.

EngineOil
Engineoilconsumption
Itisnormalforyourenginetoconsumeoil.Therateofoilconsumptiondependsonthequalityandviscosityofoil,thespeedatwhichtheengineisoperated,theclimate,roadconditionsaswellastheamountofdilutionandoxidationofthelubricant.
Ifthevehicleisusedforrepeatedshorttrips,andconsumesanormalamountofoil,theengineoilmeasurementmaynotshowanydropintheoillevelatall,evenafter600miles(1000km)ormore.Thisisbecausetheoilisgraduallybecomingdilutedwithfuelormoisture,makingitappearthattheoillevelhasnotchanged.Thedilutingingredientsevaporateoutwhenthevehicleisdrivenathighspeeds,asonanexpressway,makingitthenappearthatoilisexcessivelyconsumedafterdrivingathighspeeds.
Iftheconditionsyoudriveyourvehicleinaredusty,humid,orhot,thefrequencyoftheoilchangeintervalsshouldbegreater.
Ifthevehicleisdrivenatahighrateofspeed,climaticconditionsarewarm,andtheloadishigh,theoilshouldbecheckedmorefrequently,asdrivingconditionswilldeterminetherateofoilconsumption.
–Theengineinyourvehicledependsonoiltolubricateandcoolallofitsmovingparts.
Therefore,theengineoilshouldbecheckedregularlyandkeptattherequiredlevel.
–Makeitahabittohavetheengineoillevelcheckedwitheveryfuelfilling.
–Theoilpressurewarninglightisnotanoillevelindicator.Theoilpressurewarninglightindicatesseriousenginedamagemaybeoccuringwhenlit,ifenginerpmisaboveidlespeed.

IfyouintendtostoreyourPorscheforaprolongedperiod,pleaseconsultyourauthorizedPorschedealer.Thestaffwillbegladtoadviseyouonthemostsuitableandnecessarymethods.
Cleanyourvehiclethoroughlyinsideandoutside.Cleantheenginecompartment.Theundercarriageandchassiscomponentsshouldbefreeofdirtandsaltdeposits.
Fillupthefueltank.
Changetheoilandoilfilter,andruntheengineforseveralminutes.
Increasethetirepressureto58psi(4bar).Itisnotrecommendedtoliftthevehicle,duetothepossibilityofcorrosiononshockabsorberpistonshafts.Thevehicleshouldbemovedslightly,approximatelyeveryfourweeks,topreventflatspotonthetires.

Eachtire,includingthespare(ifprovided),shouldbecheckedevery2weekswhencold68°F(20°C)andinflatedtotheinflationpressurerecommendedinthisOwner’sManualoronthetire-pressureplateintheleftdooraperture.IfyourvehiclehastiresofadifferentsizethanthesizeindicatedinthisOwner’sManualoronthetire-pressureplate,youshoulddeterminethepropertireinflationpressureforthosetires.
Asanaddedsafetyfeature,yourvehiclehasbeenequippedwithatirepressuremonitoring(TPC)thatilluminatesalowtirepressuremessagewhenoneormoreofyourtiresissignificantlyunder-inflated.Accordingly,whenthelowtirepressuremessageilluminates,youshouldstopandcheckyourtiresassoonaspossible,andinflatethemtotheproperpressure.Drivingonasignificantlyunder-inflatedtirecausesthetiretooverheatandcanleadtotirefailure.Under-inflationalsoreducesfuelefficiencyandtiretreadlife,andmayaffectthevehicle’shandlingandstoppingability.
PleasenotethattheTPCisnotasubstituteforpropertiremaintenance,anditisthedriver’sresponsibilitytomaintaincorrecttirepressure,evenifunder-inflationhasnotreachedthelevelto
