Porscherecommendsthatallinfantsandchildrenberestrainedinchildrestraintsystemsatalltimeswhilethevehicleisinmotioninaccordancewithapplicablelaws.
UseonlychildrestraintsystemswiththeLATCH-systemrecommendedbyPorsche.ThesesystemshavebeentestedandadjustedtotheinteriorofyourPorscheandtheappropriatechildagegroups.Othersystemshavenotbeentestedandcouldentailanincreasedriskofinjuryordeath.
YoucanobtainchildseatsthatareLATCHcompati-bleatyourauthorizedPorschedealer.
Alwaysobservetheseparateinstallationinstructionsforyourchildseat.
Theuseofinfantorchildrestraintsisrequiredbylawinall50statesoftheU.S.andallCanadianprovinces.ThechildrestraintsystemshouldbeonethatcomplieswithU.S.Federal/CanadianMotorVehicleSafetyStandardsandshouldbesecuredbyalapbeltorlapbeltportionofalap-shoulderbeltorforchildseatsequippedwiththeLATCHsytem(LowerAnchorageandTetherforChildren,alsoknownasISOFIX)totheLATCHanchorages.Astatementbytheseatmanufacturerofcompliancewiththisstandardcanbefoundontheinstructionlabelontherestraintandintheinstructionmanualprovidedwiththerestraint.

interrogatedandgoesoutwhentheengineisstartedifthecheckisnotyetcomplete.IftheABSwarninglampfailstogoout,thisindicatesthatABShasbeendeactivatedduetoafault.Ifthewarninglightsintheinstrumentpanelandon-boardcomputerlightupwhileyouaredriving,thisindicatesthatafaulthasoccurred.Inbothcases,normalbraking,asinvehicleswithoutABS,isstillretained.
TheABSsystemshould,however,beexaminedatanauthorizedPorschedealerimmediatelytopreventtheoccurrenceoffurtherfaults.
IftheABSsystembecomesinoperative,takeyourvehicletoyourauthorizedPorschedealerimmediately.

Waitabout10secondsbeforeengagingthestarteragain.
Whenstartingtheengine,bereadytodriveimmediately.Drivevehicleatmoderatespeedsandavoidenginespeedsabove4200rpmduringthefirst5minutes.
Donotlettheengineidletowarmup.

Engineexhaustfumeshavemanycompo-nentswhichyoucansmell.Theyalsocontaincarbonmonoxide(CO),whichisacolorlessandodorlessgas.Carbonmonoxidecancauseunconsciousnessandevendeathifinhaled.
Neverstartorlettheengineruninanenclosed,unventilatedarea.Itisnotrec-ommendedtositinyourcarforprolongedperiodswiththeengineonandthecarnotmoving.
