Ifthevehiclewaslockedbeforetheluggagecom-partmentisopened,itisunlockedsimultaneouslywiththeluggagecompartment.Invehicleswithseatmemorythestoredseatanddoormirrorposi-tionsareautomaticallyset.Thevehiclewillbelockedagainapprox.15secondsafterthelug-gagecompartmentisclosedifnoneofthedoorswasopened.

YourauthorizedPorschedealercanprogramfurthertypesofunlocking.
Type1
Therelockingtimeofthedoorscanbeadjustedtosuityourindividualrequirements(4-120seconds).
Type2
Thedoorsstaylockedwhentheluggagecompart-mentsareunlocked.
Malfunctionoftheremotecontrol
Theremotecontrolmaynotfunctioncorrectlyduetolocalradiowaveinterference.Thevehiclewillthennotlockproperly.Thiscanbeidentifiedbythemissinglockingsoundandthemissingcheck-backsignalofthehazardwarninglights.

Ifthedoorswerelockedwiththecentrallockingswitch,theycanbeopenedbypullingtheinnerdoorhandle:
1.Pullinnerdoorhandleoncetounlockdoorlock.
2.Pullinnerdoorhandleagaintoopendoor.
Automaticdoorlocking
YourauthorizedPorschedealercanprogramdiversetypesofautomaticdoorlockinginthecontrolunitofthecentrallockingsystem.
Type1
Doorslockautomaticallywhentheignitionisswitchedon.
Type2
Doorslockautomaticallywhenaspeedof3-6mph(5-10km/h)isexceeded.
Type3
Doorslockautomaticallywhentheignitionisswitchedon.Ifdoorsareopenedwiththeenginerunning,theylockagainautomaticallywhenaspeedof3-6mph(5-10km/h)isexceeded.
Type4
Thedoorsdonotlockautomatically.
Note
Automaticallylockeddoorscanbeunlockedwiththecentrallockingbuttonoropenedbypullingontheinsidedoorhandletwice.
OnvehicleswiththeSportChronoPackagePlus,thePCMcanbeusedtoactivateautomaticdoorlocking.

Thealarmsystemandpassengercompartmentmonitoringsystemareswitchedoffautomaticallywhenthedoorsareunlocked.
Functionindication
Ifthealarmsystemisactivated,light-emittingdiodeAonthedashboardflashes.
If,afterlocking,thelight-emittingdiodedoesnotflashor,aftertenseconds,itemitsdoubleflashes,thennotallalarmcontactsareclosed.Additionally,abriefhornsignalsounds.
Whenthedoorsareunlocked,thealarmsystemandpassengercompartmentmonitoringsystemareswitchedoffandthelight-emittingdiodegoesoff.
Whenthealarmisarmed,thefollowing
areasaremonitored
–Doors
–Frontandrearlids
–Glovecompartment
–Passengercompartment
Ifoneofthesealarmcontactsisinterrupted,thealarmhornsoundsforapproximately3minutes.Additionally,theemergencyflasherandthepas-sengercompartmentlightflashforapproximatelyfourminutes.Whenthealarmistriggered,thelight-emittingdiodechangesovertodoubleflash-es.
