Porscherecommendsthatallinfantsandchildrenberestrainedinchildrestraintsystemsatalltimeswhilethevehicleisinmotioninaccordancewithapplicablelaws.
UseonlychildrestraintsystemswiththeLATCH-systemrecommendedbyPorsche.ThesesystemshavebeentestedandadjustedtotheinteriorofyourPorscheandtheappropriatechildagegroups.Othersystemshavenotbeentestedandcouldentailanincreasedriskofinjuryordeath.
YoucanobtainchildseatsthatareLATCHcompati-bleatyourauthorizedPorschedealer.
Alwaysobservetheseparateinstallationinstructionsforyourchildseat.
Theuseofinfantorchildrestraintsisrequiredbylawinall50statesoftheU.S.andallCanadianprovinces.ThechildrestraintsystemshouldbeonethatcomplieswithU.S.Federal/CanadianMotorVehicleSafetyStandardsandshouldbesecuredbyalapbeltorlapbeltportionofalap-shoulderbeltorforchildseatsequippedwiththeLATCHsytem(LowerAnchorageandTetherforChildren,alsoknownasISOFIX)totheLATCHanchorages.Astatementbytheseatmanufacturerofcompliancewiththisstandardcanbefoundontheinstructionlabelontherestraintandintheinstructionmanualprovidedwiththerestraint.

Forimprovedvisibilityandsecuritywhenyougetinandoutofthecar,thefoglightsandthetaillightsremainonforacertainperiodoftime:
–Whenyougetoutofthecar,thelightsareturnedonforapprox.30secondsafterthedoorisopened.Theoff-delaytimeresumeswhenthevehicleislocked.OnvehicleswiththeSportChronoPlusPackage,thePCMcanbeusedtosettheoff-delaytime.Thissettingalsochangesthelightingperiodforunlockingthevehicle.Pleaseobservethechapter“IndividualMemory”intheseparatePCMoperatinginstructions.
–Thelightsareturnedonforapprox.30sec-ondswhenthevehicleisunlocked.ThelightsgooutiftheignitionisswitchedonorwhenleavingtheWelcomeHomelighting.

Ifcleaningagenthascomeintocontactwiththebrakediscs,thoroughlycleanthebrakediscswithastrongjetofwater.
Payingattentiontoanyroadusersbehindyou,drythebrakediscsbyapplyingthebrakesatshortintervals.
Pittingmayoccurifmetallicparticleswhichcausecontactcorrosion(e.g.brassorcopperinbrakedust)areallowedtoremainonthealuminumfortoolong.
Ifpossible,washthewheelswithaspongeorwashbrushabouteverytwoweeks.Inareaswheresaltisspreadonwinterroadsorthereisalotofairborneindustrialdust,itisbesttocleanthewheelsweekly.ThePorscheLightAlloyWheelCleaner(ph-value9.5)canbeusedforthispurpose.Iftheph-valueofthedetergentisincorrect,theprotectivecoatingonthewheelswillbedestroyed.
Polisheswhichdissolveoxides,suchasthosefrequentlyusedforothermetals,orabrasivetoolsoragentsareunsuitablebecausetheybreakdowntheoxidelmoftheprotectivecoatingandwillcausediscolorationofthewheel.
Everythreemonths,aftercleaning,coatthewheelswithacarwaxornon-corrosivegrease(vaseline).Usingacleancloththoroughlyrubthegreaseintothesurface.
