Ifachildwillberidinginthevehicle,checkchildseat/childseatrestraintsystemtoensurethatrestraintsareproperlyadjusted.
Checkallexteriorandinteriorlightsforoperationandthatthelensesareclean.
Checktheheadlightsforproperaim,andifnecessary,havethemadjusted.
Checkunderthevehicleforleaks.
Besureallluggageisstowedsecurely.
Emergencyequipment
Itisgoodpracticetocarryemergencyequipmentinyourvehicle.Someoftheitemsyoushouldhaveare:windowscraper,snowbrush,containerorbagofsandorsalt,emergencylight,smallshovel,first-aidkit,etc.

Movewiperlevertoposition0.
Therainsensorremainsswitchedoffifthewiperleverisalreadyinposition1whentheignitionisswitchedon.

Periodicallycleanthewiperbladeswithawin-dowcleaner,especiallyafterthevehiclehasbeenwashedinacarwash.WerecommendPorschewindowcleaner.Iftheyareverydirty(e.g.withinsectremains),theycanbecleanedwithaspongeorcloth.
Ifthewiperbladesruborsqueak,thismaybeasaresultofthefollowing:

4.Presstogethertheplasticspringofthewiperblade(rightarrow).Pullwiperbladeoutofwiperarm.
5.Insertnewwiperbladeuntilyoufeelitengage.Ensurethatthenewwiperbladeisinsertedintothewiperarminthesameposition:
–directionofthespoileronthedriverside,
–curvatureonthepassengerside.
6.Carefullyfoldwiperarmbackontothewind-shield.

Afterwashing,rinsethecarwithplentyofwaterandthendrywithachamoisleather.Donotusethesamechamoisleatherfordryingasyouuseforcleaningthewindshieldandwindows.
Warning!
Moisturewhichgetsontothebrakesduringacarwashcanreducebrakingefciencyormakethebrakespullunevenlywhichcouldincreasethedangerofanaccident,causingseriouspersonalinjuriesordeath.
Alwaysapplythebrakesafewtimesafterwashingthecartotestbrakingefficiencyanddrythebrakediscs.Whendoingthis,takecarenottohamperotherroadusersbehindyou(trafficconditionspermitting).

Automaticcarwashesspraywateratoddanglesandhighpressures,whicharenotseeninnormaldriving.Therefore,watercansometimesfinditswayintothepassengerscompartmentduringorshortlyafterthecarwash.

Topreventthedoorlocksfromfreezingduringthecoldseason,thelockcylindersshouldbecoveredduringawash.
