Many FM stations broadcast updated traf-
fic news regularly for their coverage area.
Traffic news radio stations send out an
identification signal which is evaluated by
your RNS. After selecting a station the set
checks the possibility of tuning into traffic
announcements.
When the station tuned is a traffic news
station

on the radio status menu bar.

When exiting the station’s reception area
a new traffic station needs to be searched
for.
If you are listening to a CD the set will
automatically start the station search
while exiting the traffic station’s recep-
tion area.

When your radio navigation system’s
availability for tuning into traffic
announcements is activated, the set will
play traffic news. Playback of any other
source of audio is canceled, i.e. compact
disk, so that you can listen to the traffic
announcement.
