Other services available15
Other services availableLegal Inspection ServiceThe legal inspections must be carried out at the intervals
prescribed. Many countries have legal requirements obliging owner s to have their vehicle
tested at specified intervals for safety for the user a nd for other traffic, as well
as ensuring that vehicle exhaust emissions meet the c ountries' regulations.
These revisions must be overseen by officially certifi ed centres.
Your Authorised Service Centre can inform you about the in spections required
by law, and can check your vehicle in the course of an In spection Service. This
will save you both time and money.
The Authorised Service Centre can also carry out the insp ections required by
law at the client's request.
Even if you do not wish to take advantage of this service and dec ide to take
your car to an officially certified centre for this check, we re commend that you
speak to the person in charge of your Authorised Service Centre first.
This person will be able to inform you of any points that require attention so
that your car does not fail the test and have to be re-teste d.Approved spare partsAll parts of your vehicle have been approved by SEAT, especially those parts
on which your safety depends. For this reason, the parts used in the
Programmed Inspection Services or in any vehicle repair must correspond
exactly to the manufacturer-defined r equirements. The approved SEAT spare parts have been designed especially for your vehicle. For thi
s reason, we
recommend that Genuine approved SEAT spares are alw ays used.
In the Authorised SEAT Service Centres you will fi nd the most important
approved spare parts. If in an exceptional case, the necess ary parts are not in
stock, they can, in general, be obtained swiftly.
The SEAT Service Centres in the EU provide a 24 month warranty
1) for
Approved Spare parts from the date they are fitted or sold. It is therefore
advisable to retain the original invoice from the Au thorised Service Centre as
proof of the existing warranty.
More information about this may be obtained from yo ur Authorised Service
Centre.
Approved SEAT exchange partsThe approved SEAT exchange parts, conforming to th e manufacturer’s
requirements, constitute an additional service at y our disposal, offering you
the possibility to update entire assemblies, the most common being: the
short engine block, gearboxes, cylinder heads, contro l units, electrical
elements, etc.
Of course these are Approved parts and, as they have the same class as the
manufacturer parts, they share the same SEAT appro ved spare parts warranty.
However, these parts are considerably cheaper as they are f actory-recondi-
tioned used parts. Keep the invoice for the approved S EAT exchange parts as
proof of the start of the existing warranty.1)The warranty is not available for all export mark ets. For more information, please ask
your Authorised SEAT Service Centre.

Warranty claims will not be accepted in the follow ing circumstances:
•
if damage is caused by external influence or carelessness , or
•
if damage to the body is not repaired promptly and appropriately in
accordance with the manufacturer's in structions using genuine, approved
spare parts and materials, or
•
if perforation rusting is caused by the use of non-genuine p arts and mate-
rials for body repairs and if these repairs were not c arried out in accordance
with the manufacturer's instructions.
If the bodywork is repaired or painted, your Authorised Service Centre will
certify your warranty against through-rusting for th e repaired sections.
Approved SEAT exchange partsThe approved SEAT exchange parts, conforming to th e manufacturer’s
requirements, constitute an additional service at your dis posal, offering you
the possibility to update entire assemblies, the most c ommon being: the
