LongLife SEAT Services
10LongLife SEAT ServicesWhat is the LongLife SEAT service? The service intervals are flexibleWhereas conventional service intervals are calculated according to the
number of kilometres travelled, the LongLife Service employs a technology
which considers your personal driving style and the conditions of use appli-
cable to your vehicle. For example, frequent short journeys involve different
conditions of use to long journe ys. The maintenance intervals are flexible.
Remember that, in spite of the above, the LongLife Service should be carried
out at most every 24 months, as engine oil ages irrespective of the vehicle
conditions of use.
Details of the service work and additional work required can be found on
page ⇒page 12. onwards.
Please observe inspection intervals and ensure your vehicle is serviced as
required. Please note that failure to observe the inspection intervals may
lead to damage to your vehicle. Is my vehicle eligible for the LongLife Service? All vehicles are filled with oil suitable for the LongLife Service at the factory.
Depending upon the country where the vehicle is to be used, the LongLife Service or the inspection service is selected. On delivery of the vehicle, the
corresponding service is marked on the delivery inspection sheet.
Renewal of the LongLife Service
On completion of the relevant Service, the authorised SEAT Service Centre
resets the next service and marks the corresponding box on the service
sheet.
Engine oil specificationOnly specially approved engine oils may be used in vehicles
using the LongLife Service concept. The LongLife Service (maximum length 2 years) is only valid if engine oils
approved for the LongLength Service are used. Therefore, when filling and
topping up the engine, only engine oils with the following VW specifications
may be used:
Petrol engines VW 503 00, VW 503 01, VW 504 00
Diesel engines VW 506 00, VW 506 01, VW 507 00
In diesel vehicles fitted with particulate filters, the engine oil, specification
VW 507 00, must be used.
The instruction manual indicates the oil which should be used for your
vehicle engine.
If the specified engine oil is not used, the maintenance intervals given for the
SEAT inspection service should be observed.
