Range selector key PHONEOverviewMain menu PHONE Individual functions in the menu TELEPHONE may depend on the  equipment and th 
e properties of the telephone.
Connect your mobile phone with the mobile
 phone program according to the instruc- 
tion manual applicable to your vehicle. – Press the range selector key   to call up the main menu  
PHONE
. 
After the connection process, it will take a fe 
w minutes until the phone book data of the  
mobile phone connected to the radio unit is available. Function keys in the main menu PHONE  - Take calls, establish or hold. After pr 
essing the call
 list, the selected phone  
numbers are displayed in the main menu PHONE. 
 - End conversation or reject call.* - establishes a connection to a an em 
ergency number afte
r further confirma- 
tion. This function is also possible withou 
t a connected mobile phone. It is, however,  
necessary that a connection can be es 
tablished via a mobile phone company. 
 and   to   - Shortcut keys; these can be allocated to, in  
each case, one number. 
 - opens the number block for entering a call number. - opens a pop-up window for selecting a ca 
ll list. Only call lists of missed, dialed  
or accepted calls from the mobile phon 
e preparation program can be displayed.

switches off the microphone

Enter call numberEnter a number and select– Press on the function key   in the main menu

– Press an inserted number key to accept 
 the corresponding number in the entry  
line. 
– You can delete the characters in the entry line from left to right by pressing the  
function key  . 
– Press function key   when the desired ca 
ll number is indicated in the entry line.  
The connection to the entered call number is established. 
You can select the character “ 
+” instead of the first two digits (for example “
00”) when  
entering a country code. For th 
is step, hold the function key   with the little triangle  
“ a” pressed until a pop-up window with the function keys   and   fades in. Press to  accept the desired character into the entry li 
ne - the pop-up window will close. If no  
entries are entered, the pop-up window wi 
ll close automatically after a few seconds. 
The special keys “Stars”   and “Rhombus”    
have the same function as those on a

Certain voice commands in the operating mode RADIO If you pronounce the command “ 
Read station list
”, the system reads the list of the  
radio stations. The desired selected radio stat 
ion can be selected by
 briefly pressing the  
button   on the unit during the message, then the system offers selection possibili- ties for the selected entry. If you directly pronounce a station name,  
the system switches over to the desired  
station. Examples for voice commands in order to op

Certain voice commands in the operating mode PHONE The digits  
zero to nine
 are permitted. The system does
 not detect any digit combina- 
tions such as twenty-three You can enter the telephone number as a contin 
uous row, as individually spoken digits  
(the whole number at once) or in the form of  
digital blocks (separated by short pauses).  
After each digital block (separated by a sh 
ort pause) the system repeats the detected  
digits. Before entering the digits, you ca 
n enter additionally a symbol “
Plus (+)
” for interna- 
tional calls. 
If you pronounce the command “ 
Read phone book
”, the system reads out the tele- 
phone book. The desired telephone contact can be selected by briefly pressing the  button   on the unit during the message,  
then the system offers selection possibili-

overview display (small scale). It returns again to the last display (large scale) after a few  seconds,•
“ Zoom in

zoom out
”   - enlarges or reduces the map scale.

“Show info
”   - shows info (e.g GPS coordinates) of the entry which was displayed  
in the map.•
“ Save
”   - if you wish to save for example the selected route in the operating  
mode

Certain voice commands in the operating mode NAV If you pronounce the name of the desired ci 
ty and the system is not sure about the  
entry made or the name of the city is identical  
to other cities, it offers a list of cites with  
the utmost probability. You can scroll through the commands “ 
next page
” or  
“ previous page
” in the list, then chose the desired city by pronouncing the command  
e.g. “ 
Number 1
” or “
1”. 
While in the operating mode
