Select to change the display of the
speedometer or tachometer.

Select to change the average fuel
consumption display to any of the
following: trip ave rage/total aver-

Select to display/not display the
audio system linked display.

tent of the following:
• Drive information type
Select to change the drive informa-
tion type display between trip infor-
mation/total information.
• Drive information items
Select to set the first and second
items of the drive information dis-
play to any of the following: aver-

speed/distance/elapsed time.
 Pop-up display
Select to enable/disable pop-up
displays for each relevant system.
Multi-information display off
Select to turn the m ulti-information
display off.
To turn the multi-in formation display
on again, press any of the following

Select to reset the meter display
settings to the default setting.

●Some settings cannot be changed
while driving. When changing set-
tings, park the vehicle in a safe
place.
●If a warning message is displayed,
operation of the settings display
will be suspended.
WARNING
■Cautions during setting up
the display
If the engine is running when
changing the dis play settings,
ensure that the vehicle is parked
in a place with adequate ventila-
tion. In a closed area such as a
garage, exhaust gases including
harmful carbon monoxide (CO)
may collect and enter the vehicle.
This may lead to death or a seri-
ous health hazard.
NOTICE
■During setting up the display
To prevent batte ry discharge,
ensure that the engine is running
while setting up the display fea-
tures.

displayed, select “Current”.

Resetting the consumption data
Fuel consumption in the past
15 minutes
Current fuel consumption
Average vehicle speed since
the engine was started.
Elapsed time since the
engine was started.
Cruising range
Average fuel consumption for
the past 15 minutes is divided
by color into past averages and
averages attained since the
engine switch was last turned to
ON. Use the displayed average
fuel consumption as a refer-
ence.
■History
1 Select on the main menu.
2 Select “Trip information”.
If a screen other than “History” is
displayed, select “History”.

record
Resetting the history data
Updating the latest fuel con-
sumption data
The average fuel consumption
history is divided by color into
past averages and the average
fuel consumption since the last
updated. Use the displayed
average fuel consumption as a
reference.
■Updating the history data
Update the latest fuel consumption
by selecting “Upda te” to measure
the current fuel consumption again.
■Resetting the data
The fuel consumption data can be
deleted by selecting “Clear”.
■Cruising range
Displays the estimated maximum
distance that can be driven with the
quantity of fuel remaining.
This distance is computed based on
your average fuel consumption.
As a result, the actual distance that
can be driven may differ from that
displayed.

■Operation of the engine switch
●If the switch is not pressed shortly
and firmly, the engine switch
mode may not change or the
engine may not start.
●If attempting to restart the engine
immediately after turning the
engine switch off, the engine may
not start in some cases. After turn-
ing the engine switch off, please
wait a few seconds before restart-
ing the engine.
■Customization
If the smart key system has been
deactivated in a customized setting,
refer to P.356.
1 Stop the vehicle completely.
2 Set the parking brake
( P.142), and shift the shift
lever to P.
Check the parking brake indicator
is illuminated.
3 Press the engine switch
shortly and firmly.
The engine will stop, and the meter
display will be extinguished.
4Release the brake pedal and
check that “ACCESSORY” or
“IGNITION ON” is not shown
on the multi-information dis-
play.
■Automatic engine shut off fea-
ture
●The vehicle is equipped with a
feature that automatically shuts off
the engine when the shift lever is
in P with the engine running for an
extended period.
●The engine will automatically shut
off after approxima tely 1 hour if it
has been left running while the
shift lever is in P.
●The timer for the automatic engine
shut off feature will reset if the
brake pedal is depressed, or if the
shift lever is in a position other
than P.
WARNING
■When starting the engine
Always start the e ngine while sit-
ting in the driver’s seat. Do not
depress the accelerator pedal
while starting the engine under
any circumstances.
Doing so may cause an accident
resulting in death or serious injury.
NOTICE
■When starting the engine
●Do not race a cold engine.
●If the engine becomes difficult to
start or stalls frequently, have
your vehicle checked by your
Toyota dealer immediately.
■Symptoms indicating a mal-
function with the engine
switch
If the engine switch seems to be
operating somewhat differently
than usual, such as the switch
sticking slightly, there may be a
malfunction. Contact your Toyota
dealer immediately.

After the required maintenance is
performed according to the mainte-
nance schedule, please reset the
message.
To reset the messa ge, follow the
procedure described below:

The temperature of the radar sensor
is outside of the operating range.
Wait for the temperature to become
appropriate.
■If “System Stopped Front Radar

Indicates one of the following sys-
tems is disabled.
●PCS (Pre-Collision system)
●LDA (Lane Departure Alert)
●LTA (Lane Tracing Assist)
●AHB (Automatic High Beam)
●Dynamic radar cruise control
Follow the followi ng correction
methods.
• Check if there is any foreign mat- ter attached to the radar sensor or
radar sensor cover and clean
them if necessary ( P.163)
• The radar sensor may be mis- aligned and will be adjusted auto-
matically while driving. Continue
driving for a while.
■If “Cruise Control Unavailable
See Owner’s Manual” is dis-
played
Indicates one of the following sys-
tems is disabled.
●Dynamic radar cruise control
●Cruise control
A message is displayed when the
driving assist s witch is pushed
repeatedly.
Press the driving assist switch
quickly and firmly.
■If “Maintenance Required
Soon” is displayed
Indicates that all maintenance
according to the driven distance on
the maintenance schedule

be performed soon.
Comes on approximately 4500
miles (7200 km) after the message
has been reset. If necessary, per-
form maintenance. Please reset the
message after the maintenance is
performed. ( P.266)

nance interval applicable to your

■If “Maintenance Required Visit
Your Dealer” is displayed
Indicates that all maintenance is
required to correspond to the driven
distance on the maintenance sched-
ule

Comes on approximately 5000
miles (8000 km) after the message
has been reset. (The indicator will
not work properly unless the mes-
sage has been rese t.) Perform the
necessary maintenance. Please
reset the message after the mainte-
nance is performed. ( P.266)

5Stow the flat tire, tire jack and
all tools.
■The compact spare tire
●The compact spare tire is identi-
fied by the label “TEMPORARY USE ONLY” on the tire sidewall.
Use the compact spare tire tempo-
rarily, and only in an emergency.
●Make sure to check the tire infla-
tion pressure of the compact
spare tire. (
P.370)
■When the compact spare tire is
equipped
The vehicle becomes lower when
driving with the compact spare tire
compared to when driving with stan-
dard tires.
■After completing the tire
change
The tire pressure warning system
must be reset. ( P.288)
■When using the compact spare
tire
As the compact spare tire is not
equipped with a tire pressure warn-
ing valve and transm itter, low infla-
tion pressure of t he spare tire will
not be indicated by the tire pressure
warning system. Also , if you replace
the compact spare ti re after the tire
pressure warning light comes on,
the light remains on.
■If you have a flat front tire on a
road covered wit h snow or ice
(vehicles with a compact spare
tire)
Install the compact spare tire on one
of the rear wheels of the vehicle.
Perform the following steps and fit
tire chains to the front tires:
1 Replace a rear tire with the com-
pact spare tire.
2 Replace the flat front tire with the
tire removed from the rear of the
vehicle.
3 Fit tire chains to the front tires.
■When reinstalling the wheel
ornament (steel wheels except
compact spare tire)
Align the cutout of the wheel orna-
ment with the valve stem as shown
in the illustration.
