1. PHONE OPERATION

When the “ENGINE START STOP” switch
is in ACCESSORY or IGNITION ON
mode, the system searches for a nearby
registered cellular phone.
The system will connect with the phone
that was last connected, if it is nearby.
When “Display Phone Status” is set to
“On”, the connection status is displayed.

® DEVICE CONNEC-
TION STATUS DISPLAY SETTINGS” on
page 188.)
This screen appears when the Bluetooth
®
phone is first connected after the
“ENGINE START STOP” switch is in
ACCESSORY or IGNITION ON mode.
1Press the button or the switch
on the steering wheel.
2Touch “Connect Phone”.
3Touch the screen button correspond-
ing to the desired phone connection.
When the cellular phone’s device name
has not been able to be obtained, “Device
1” to “Device 5” will be displayed in the
order the phones were registered.

INFORMATION
●It may take time if the phone connection
is carried out during Bluetooth® device
playback.
Depending on the type of Bluetooth
®
phone being connected, it may be nec-
essary to perform additional steps on
the phone.
MANUALLY
When the auto connection has failed or
“Bluetooth* Power” is turned off, it is
necessary to connect Bluetooth
® man-
ually.

The guide lines are very far
out of alignmentThe camera position is out of
alignment.Have the vehicle inspected by
your Toyota dealer.
The vehicle is tilted (there is
a heavy load on the vehicle,
tire pressure is low due to a
tire puncture, etc.)
The vehicle is used on an
incline.If this happens due to these
causes, it does not indicate a
malfunction.
Back up while visually check-
ing the vehicle’s surround-
ings.
The estimated course lines
move even though the steer-
ing wheel is straightThere is a malfunction in the
signals being output by the
steering sensor.Have the vehicle inspected by
your Toyota dealer.
Guide lines are not displayedThe back door is open.Close the back door.
If this does not resolve the
symptom, have the vehicle in-
spected by your Toyota deal-
er.
“System is initializing.” is dis-
playedThe battery has been rein-
stalled.
The steering wheel has
been moved while the bat-
tery was being reinstalled.
Battery power is low.
The steering sensor has
been reinstalled.
There is a malfunction in
the signals being output by
the steering sensor.Stop the vehicle, and turn the
steering wheel as far as it will
go to the left and right.
If this does not resolve the
symptom, have the vehicle in-
spected by your Toyota deal-
er.
On the system initialization
screen, touch the “?” to
display the operating proce-
dure.
