When using the bottle holder
When storing a bottle, close the cap.
The bottle may not be stored depending on its size or shape.
NOTICE
Items that should not be stowed in the bottle holders
Put the cap on before stowing a bottle. Do not place open bottles in the bot-
tle holders, or glasses and paper cups containing liquid. The contents may
spill and glasses may break.

CAUTION
Caution while driving (type A)
Keep the auxiliary box closed when not in use. In the event of sudden brak-
ing or sudden swerving, an accident may occur due to an occupant being
struck by an open auxiliary box or the items stored inside.
Items unsuitable for storing (type A)
Do not store items heavier than 200 g (0.44 lb.).
Doing so may cause the auxiliary box to open and the items inside may fall
out, resulting in an accident.

then lift the side deck boards.
Lift the side deck board from
the front side of the vehicle to
prevent hitting the cargo hook.

Stowing the luggage cover
Lift the center deck board and
remove the side deck boards.
Fold inwards together with the
head restraint installation hooks
and secure. Then, stow in the
auxiliary boxes.

CAUTION
When the cargo hooks are not in use
To avoid injury, always return the cargo hooks to their stowed positions.
Caution while driving
Keep the lid of each storage spaces closed while driving. In the event of sud-
den braking or sudden swerving, an accident may occur due to an occupant
being struck by an open auxiliary box or the items stored inside.
Caution for the luggage cover
Do not allow children to climb on the luggage cover. Climbing on the luggage
cover could result in damage to the luggage cover, possibly causing death or
serious injury to the child.

Hood
Release the lock from the inside of the vehicle to open the hood.
Pull the hood lock release
lever.
The hood will pop up slightly.
Pull up the auxiliary catch
lever and lift the hood.

If you have a flat tire (vehicles with spare tire)
Remove the flat tire and replace it with the spare tire provided.
Before jacking up the vehicle
Stop the vehicle on a hard, flat surface.
Set the parking brake.
Shift the shift position to P.
Stop the hybrid system.
Turn on the emergency flashers.

Taking out the jack
Remove the center and left side
deck boards and then remove
the center auxiliary box.
Take out the jack.

Unload the tool holder from the
vehicle and loosen the center
fastener that secures the spare
tire.

If you have a flat tire (vehicles without a spare tire)
A puncture caused by a nail or screw passing through the tire tread
can be repaired temporarily using the emergency tire puncture repair
kit. (The kit contains a bottle of sealant. The sealant can be used only
once to temporarily repair one tire without removing the nail or
screw from the tire.) After temporarily repairing the tire with the kit,
have the tire repaired or replaced by any authorized Toyota dealer or
repairer, or another duly qualified and equipped professional.
Before repairing the tire
Stop the vehicle in a safe place on a hard, flat surface.
Set the parking brake.
Shift the shift position to P.
Stop the hybrid system.
Turn on the emergency flashers.
