Energy monitor
Displays the flow of energy as it changes in accordance with driving
conditions.
“touch screen”
Press “CAR”.
If the “Trip information” screen is
displayed, touch “Energy”.
You can view the status of your hybrid system on the “touch screen”
screen or the navigation system screen.

Resetting the consumption data
“touch screen”
Selecting “Clear” on the “Trip information” screen will reset the fuel con-
sumption and the regenerated energy for the past 15 minutes.
Selecting “Yes” on the following screen will confirm resetting of all the data.
Navigation system
Selecting “Clear” on the “Trip information” screen will reset the fuel con-
sumption and the regenerated energy for the past 15 minutes.
Selecting “Yes” on the following screen will confirm resetting of all the data.
Cruising range
Displays the estimated maximum distance that can be driven with the quan-
tity of fuel remaining.
This distance is computed based on your average fuel consumption.
As a result, the actual distance that can be driven may differ from that dis-
played.

CAUTION
Caution regarding interference with electronic devices
People with implanted pacemakers or cardiac defibrillators should main-
tain a reasonable distance between themselves and the smart entry &
start system antennas. (P. 67)
The radio waves may affect the operation of such devices. If necessary,
the entry function can be disabled. Ask any authorized Toyota dealer or
repairer, or another duly qualified and equipped professional for details,
such as the frequency of radio waves and timing of emitting the radio
waves. Then, consult your doctor to see if you should disable the entry
function.
Users of any electrical medical device other than implanted pacemakers
and implanted cardiac defibrillators should consult the manufacturer of the
device for information about its operation under the influence of radio
waves.
Radio waves could have unexpected effects on the operation of such
medical devices.
Ask any authorized Toyota dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified and
equipped professional for details on disabling the entry function.
On vehicles with the “touch screen” or the navigation system, the entry func-
tion can be disabled personally. (P. 555)

Switching the head-up display
On/off
When on, the indicator light on
the “HUD” switch comes on.
Head-up display contents
Speedometer
Displays the vehicle speed.
Touch tracer display
The steering switches operation status is displayed for confirmation

Turn-by-turn navigation*
Displays a notification of upcoming intersections during navigation
system route guidance. (P. 256)
Dynamic radar cruise control*
Displays the approach warning. (P. 280)
PCS (Pre-Crash Safety System)*
Indicates that there is a possibility of collision. (P. 307)

Touch tracer display
When the audio control switches,
climate control switches, “DISP”
button or “TRIP” button of the
steering wheel are touched, the
touch tracer display will appear
in front of the display, with the
touched button highlighted to
allow the driver to identify the
button that is being operated.
The button can then be operated
by further presses.
If an audio/navigation system is
used that is not compatible with
the steering switches in this vehi-
cle, the audio switch display may
not operate correctly.

Turn-by-turn navigation display (if equipped)
When approaching an intersec-
tion while the navigation system
is giving route guidance, an
arrow will automatically be dis-
played on the head-up display to
indicate the direction of travel.
At one of the following distances
from the intersection, the guid-
ance display will be shown and
the distance to the intersection
will be shown in units of 50 m
(164 ft.).

Steering wheel audio switches
Some audio features can be controlled using the switches on the
steering wheel. For details, refer to the ““touch screen” Owner’s Man-
ual” or “Navigation System Owner’s Manual”.
Operation may differ and usage may not be possible with audio/navi-
gation systems that are not compatible with the steering switches in
this vehicle.

Owners of models equipped with a navigation system should refer
to the “Navigation System Owner’s Manual”.
