■Windshield wiper de-icer (if equipped)
This feature is used to prevent ice from building up on the win d-
shield and wiper blades.

The defogger will automatically turn off after approximately 15 minutes.
Double Cab models: Turning the outside rear view mirror defogge rs on will
turn the windshield wiper de-icer on.
CrewMax models: Turning the back window defogger on will turn t he wind-
shield wiper de-icer on.

Doors• Do the doors operate smoothly?
Engine hood• Does the engine hood lock system work prop-erly?
Fluid leaks• There should not be any signs of fluid leakageafter the vehicle has been parked.
Tires
• Is the tire inflati on pressure correct?
• The tires should not be damaged or exces- sively worn.
• Have the tires been rotated according to the maintenance schedule?
• The wheel nuts should not be loose.
Lights• Do all the lights come on?
Windshield wipers
• The wiper blades should not show any signs
of cracking, splitting, wear, contamination or
deformation.
• The wiper blades should clear the windshield without streaking or skipping.

Turn the engine off and ensure that there is adequate ventilati on before per-
forming maintenance checks.
