affect electronic systems such as the multiport fuel injection system/sequen-
tial multiport fuel injection system, anti-lock brake system, SRS airbag sys -
tem and seat belt pretensioner system, be sure to check with your Toyota
dealer for
precautionary measures or special instructions regarding installa -
tion.

Conditions affecting operation
The wireless remote control function may not operate normally in the follow-
ing situations.
lNear a TV tower, radio station, electr ic power plant, airport, gas station or
other facility that generates strong radio waves
l When carrying a portable radio, cell ular phone or other wireless commu-
nication device
l When multiple wireless keys are in the vicinity
l When the wireless key has come into contact with, or is covered by a
metallic object
l When a wireless key (that emits radio waves) is being used nearby
l When the wireless key has been left near an electrical appliance such as
a personal computer
n When riding in an aircraft
When bringing an wireless key onto an aircraft, make sure you do not press
any buttons on the wireless key while inside the aircraft cabin. If you are car-
rying an wireless key in your bag etc., ensure that the buttons are not likely
to be pressed accidentally. Pressing a button may cause the wireless key to
emit radio waves that could interfere with the operation of the aircraft.
n Customization that can be co nfigured at Toyota dealer
Settings (e.g. wireless remote control system) can be changed.

CAUTION
nModification and disposal of SRS airbag system components
Do not dispose of your vehicle or perform any of the following modifications
without consulting your Toyota dealer.
The SRS airbags may malfunction or deploy (inflate) accidentally, causing
death or serious injury.
l Installation, removal, disassembly and repair of the SRS airbags.
l Repairs, modifications, removal or replacement of the steering wheel,
instrument panel, dashboard, seats or seat upholstery, front, side and rear
pillars or roof side rail.
l Repairs or modifications of the front fender, front bumper, or side of the
occupant compartment.
l Installation of snow plows, winches, etc. to the front grille (bull bars, kan-
garoo bar etc.).
l Modifications to the vehicle's suspension system.
l Installation of electronic devices such as mobile two-way radios or CD
players.
l Modifications to your vehicle for a person with a physical disability.

An XM
® Satellite Radio is a tuner designed exclusively to receive broadcasts
provided under a separate subscription. Availability is limited to the 48 con-
tiguous states and 10 Canadian provinces.

l Radio ID
You will need the radio ID when activating XM
® service or reporting a
problem. Select “CH000” using , and the receiver’s 8-character ID
number will appear.
l Satellite tuner
The tuner supports only Audio Services (Music and Talk) and the accom-
panying Text Information of XM
® Satellite Radio.
n If the satellite radio does not operate normally
If a problem occurs with the XM
® tuner, a message will appear on the dis-
play. Refer to the table below to identify the problem, and take the suggested
corrective action.
ANTENNA The XM
® antenna is not connected. Check
whether the XM® antenna cable is attached
securely.
There is a short-circuit in the antenna or the sur-
rounding antenna cable. See a Toyota certified
dealer.

Contact the XM® Listener Care Center at 1-800-967-2346 (U.S.A.) or
1-877-438-9677 (Canada).
UPDATING You have not subscribed to the XM
® Satellite
Radio. The radio is being updated with the latest
encryption code. Contact the XM
® Satellite Radio
for subscription information. When a contract is
canceled, you can choose the “CH000” and all
free-to-air channels.
The premium channel you selected is not autho-
rized. Wait for about 2 seconds until the radio
returns to the previous channel or “CH001”. If it
does not change automatically, select another
channel. If you want to listen to the premium chan-
nel, contact the XM
® Satellite Radio.
NO SIGNAL The XM
® signal is too weak at the current location.
Wait until your vehicle reaches a location with a
stronger signal.
LOADING The unit is acquiring audio or program information.
Wait until the unit has received the information.
OFF AIRThe channel you selected is not broadcasting any
programming. Select another channel.
-----There is no song/program title or artist name/fea-
ture associated with the channel at that time. No
action needed.
---The channel you selected is no longer available.
Wait for about 2 seconds until the radio returns to
the previous channel or “CH001”. If it does not
change automatically, select another channel.
