Position the vehicle jack under the ve­
hicle:
There are two impressions at the front
and back under the body to show you
where to posit ion the
jack-see arrows in the illustration. The
f
ront impress ion is located approxi­
ma te ly 6 inches (1 5 em) behind the front
wheel house. The rear impression is located
approximately
11 inches (27 em) in front of
t he rear wheel house.
An unstable surface under th e jack may cause the vehicle to s lip off the jack. A lways provide a firm base for the jack on the ground. necessary , use a board under the jack.

Turn the handle on the jack until the jack

After you change a tire:
Check the tire air pressure immediately.

wheel bolts are corroded and difficult to turn
then they should be replaced before
check the tightening torq ue.
Until then, drive with extra care and
