The proper driver seating position is important for safe, relaxed driving.

A safety belt extende r is available if a belt is too short for the driver o r a pas­

se rious injury or death. Saf ety bel ts ca n

tio ned on the body. Improper seating posi­
t ions redu ce th e e ffec tive ne ss o f safe ty

j ury and dea th by mo ving the safety belt t o
c riti ca l area s of the body. Improper seating

i njury and dea th when a n airbag dep loys
