Activating and deactivating the
ventilated rear seats*
The seats can be ventilated to provide increasedcomfort in warm weather.
The ventilation system consists of fans in theseats and backrest that draw air through the seatupholstery. The cooler the passenger compart-ment is, the greater the cooling effect of the ven-tilation. The system can be activated when theengine is running.

seats
Seat buttons in the Rear climate group in Climate view.
1. Open Climate view in the center display andselect the Rear climate tab.
2.Tap the left- or right-side seat button toopen the seat controls.
If the vehicle is not equipped with heatedseats, the button for seat ventilation isdirectly accessible in the climate bar.
3.Tap the seat ventilation button repeatedly toselect one of the four levels: Off, High,Medium or Low.
> The level is changed and the set level isdisplayed in the button.

–Press repeatedly on the left or right seatventilation buttons on the climate panel onthe tunnel console to select one of four lev-els: Off, High, Medium or Low.

heated steering wheel*
The steering wheel can be heated for addedcomfort in cold weather.

1. Tap the driver's side steering wheel and seatbutton in the climate bar in the center displayto open the controls for steering wheel andseat heating.
If the vehicle is not equipped with heated orventilated seats, the button for steeringwheel heating is directly accessible in the cli-mate bar.
2. Tap the steering wheel heating buttonrepeatedly to select one of the four levels:Off, High, Medium or Low.
> The level is changed and the set level isdisplayed in the button.

Activating and deactivating
automatic steering wheel heating*
The steering wheel can be heated for addedcomfort in cold weather.
Steering wheel heating can be set to automati-cally activate when the engine is started. Whenset to automatically activate, heating will beturned on at low ambient temperatures.
1.Tap Settings in the Top view in the centerdisplay.
2.Tap Climate.
3.Select Auto Steering Wheel HeatingLevel to activate/deactivate automatic startof heated steering wheel.
4.Select Low, Medium or High to select levelafter the function has been activated.

Activating auto climate control
If auto climate control is activated, several cli-mate system functions are controlled automati-cally.
Auto climate button in Climate view.
1. Open Climate view in the center display.
2.Tap or press and hold AUTO.
Tap - air recirculation, air conditioning andair distribution are controlled automati-cally.
Press and hold - air recirculation, air con-ditioning and air distribution are controlledautomatically. Temperature and blowerspeed are changed to standard settings:22 °C (72 °F) and speed 3 (speed 2 inthe rear seat).
>Auto climate mode is activated and thebutton lights up.

NOTE
It is possible to change the temperature andblower speed without deactivating automaticclimate control. Automatic climate control isdeactivated when the air distribution ischanged manually or when the max defrosteris activated.

The climate system's recirculation function helpsshut out smog, smoke, exhaust fumes, etc. byreusing the air in the passenger compartment.

> Air recirculation is activated/deactivatedand the button lights up/goes out.

CAUTION
If the air in the vehicle is recirculated too long,there is a risk of fogging on the inside of thewindows.

Activating and deactivating therecirculation timer setting
The climate system's recirculation function helpsshut out smog, smoke, exhaust fumes, etc. byreusing the air in the passenger compartment.
When the recirculation timer is activated, air recir-culation will switch off automatically after 20minutes.
1.Tap Settings in the Top view in the centerdisplay.
2.Tap Climate.
3.Tap Recirculation Timer to activate/deacti-vate the recirculation timer.

Max defroster is used to quickly remove conden-sation and ice from windows.

A button in the center console offers quickaccess to the max defroster.
On vehicles with heated windshields*, the maxdefroster can only be activated separately fromClimate view in the center display.

–Tap the button.
>The max defroster is activated/deacti-vated and the button lights up/goes out.

Deactivated.

NOTE
The max defroster starts after a slight delay toavoid a brief increase in blower speed if theheated windshield function has been deacti-vated by pressing the button twice in quicksuccession.

2.Tap Max.
> The max defroster is activated/deacti-vated and the button lights up/goes out.
Max defroster deactivates automatic cli-mate control and air recirculation, acti-vates the air conditioning, and changesblower speed to 5 and temperature to HI.
When max defroster is deactivated, theclimate system reverts to the previous set-tings.

NOTE
The volume increases when the blower speedis changed to 5.

automatic windshield heating*
Windshield heating is used to quickly removecondensation and ice from the windshield.
Windshield heating can be set to automaticallyactivate when the engine is started. With auto-matic start activated, heating will be activatedwhen there is a risk of ice or condensation on thewindows or mirrors. Heating is automaticallyswitched off when the window or door mirror issufficiently warm and the condensation or ice isgone.
1.Tap Settings in the Top view in the centerdisplay.
2.Tap Climate.
3.Select Auto Front Defroster to activate/deactivate automatic windshield heating.

The heated rear window and door mirrors areused to quickly remove condensation and icefrom the glass.
It is possible to select whether rear window anddoor mirror heating should be automatically acti-vated or deactivated when the engine is started.With automatic start activated, heating will beactivated when there is a risk of ice or condensa-tion on the windows or mirrors. Heating is auto-matically switched off when the window or doormirror is sufficiently warm and the condensationor ice is gone.
1.Tap Settings in the Top view in the centerdisplay.

3.Select Auto Rear Defroster to activate/deactivate automatic rear window and doorheating.

The blower can be set to several different auto-matically controlled speeds for the front seat.

2.Tap the desired blower speed: Off, 1-5 orMax.
> The blower speed will be changed and thebuttons for the set speed will light up.

CAUTION
The air conditioning will not engage if theblower is turned off completely, which maycause fogging on the inside of the windows.
NOTE
The climate system automatically adapts air-flow as needed within the set blower speed,which means that airflow speed may varyslightly within the same blower speed.

NOTE
The blower speed for the rear seat cannot beset if the blower speed for the front seat isOff.
The rear seat blower speed can only beturned off from the climate view in the centerdisplay.
NOTE

Setting the temperature for thefront seats
The temperature can be set to the desired num-ber of degrees for the front seat climate zones.

1. Tap the left- or right-side temperature but-tons in the center display's climate bar toopen the control.

2. Set the temperature by doing one of the fol-lowing:
dragging the control to the desired tem-perature, or
tapping +− to raise/lower the tempera-ture.
> The temperature will be set and the but-ton will display the new temperature.

NOTE
Heating/cooling cannot be accelerated bychoosing a higher/lower temperature thanthe desired temperature.
