HANDLING NOTE
At high altitudes, the atmospheric pressure is
lower. This can make the fuel mixture too rich,
leading to such problems as fouled.
Spark plugs and slow response at high engine
speeds. A special part, High Altitude Main Jet
1
#102.5 (620-1423A-71-A0) is available to
correct this.

To optimize the fuel flow at a smaller throttle
opening, each machine’s pilot air screw has
been individually set at the factory. Before
removing the pilot air screw, turn it in fully and
count the number of turns. Record this number
as the factory-set number of turns out.

Blow out all passages and jets with com-
pressed air.
Never use a wire.

Measurement and adjustment steps:
Connect the fuel level gauge 1 to the float
chamber.
Fuel level gauge:
YM-1312-A/90890-01312
Hold the fuel level gauge vertically next to
the float chamber mating surface.
Loosen the drain screw.
Measure the fuel level with the fuel level
gauge.
NOTE:
Keep the carburetor and fuel level gauge
vertically when measuring the fuel level.
If the fuel level is not within specification,
inspect the needle valve seat and needle
valve.
If either is worn, replace them both.
If both are fine, adjust the fuel level by
bending the float tab b on the float.
Recheck the fuel level.

9. Teleskopgabel vollständig eintauchen.
10. Befüllen:
Gabelöl 1
ACHTUNG:
Nur die empfohlene Ölsorte verwenden.
Falls anderes Öl verwendet wird, kann die
Funktionsweise der Telekopgabel erheb-
lich beeinträchtigt werden.
Es dürfen keine Fremdkörper in die Tele-
skopgabel gelangen.
11. Nach dem Befüllen muß die Gabel mehr-
mals (miadestens 10 Mol) langsam ein-
und ausgefedert werden, damit sich das
Gabelöl verteilt.
Empfohlene Ölsorte:
Gabelöl 10W oder gleichwertig

ATTENTION:
Utiliser sans faute le type d’huile de fourche
recommandé. Des huiles de type différent
pourraient modifier le comportement de la
fourche avant.
Ne laisser en aucun cas pénétrer de la crasse
ou tout objet dans la fourche avant.
11. Après avoir rempli le tube plongeur, le pom-
per lentement plus de 10 fois pour répartir
l’huile de fourche.

HANDHABUNGSHINWEIS
WARNUNG
Dieser Hinterradstoßdämpfer enthält Hoch-
druck-Stickstoffgas. Um die Gefahr einer
Explosion zu vermeiden, müssen die fol-
genden Informationen vor der Arbeit am
Hinterradstoßdämpfer sorgfältig gelesen
werden.
Der Hersteller ist nicht verantwortlich für
Schäden oder Verletzungen, die auf einen
unsachgemäßen Umgang mit dem Dämpfer
zurückzuführen sind.
1. Niemals versuchen, den Hinterrad-
stoßdämpfer zu öffnen.
2. Niemals den Hinterradstoßdämpfer in
eine offene Flamme oder eine andere
Wärmequelle werfen. Der Hinterrad-
stoßdämpfer kann als Folge der Aus-
dehnung des Stickstoffgases und/
oder einer Beschädigung des Schlau-
ches explodieren.
3. Es dürfen keine Teile des Hinterrad-
stoßdämpfers beschädigt werden. Ein
beschädigter Hinterradstoßdämpfer
beeinträchtigt die Dämpfung und kann
zu Fehlfunktionen führen.
4. Vorsichtig arbeiten, um keine Kratzer
auf der Kolbenstange mit dem Zylin-
der zu verursachen. Andernfalls kann
Öl austreten.
5. Beim Entsorgen des Hinterradstoß-
dämpfers müssen die Anweisungen
für die Entsorgung befolgt werden.

REMARQUE CONCERNANT LA
MANIPULATION
AVERTISSEMENT
Cet amortisseur contient de l’azote sous forte
pression. Afin d’éviter tout danger d’explosion,
lire attentivement les informations ci-dessous
avant de manipuler l’amortisseur.
Le fabricant décline toute responsabilité pour
les dommages matériels ou corporels résultant
d’une mauvaise manipulation.
1. Ne jamais manipuler frauduleusement ou
tenter d’ouvrir l’amortisseur arrière.
2. Ne jamais jeter l’amortisseur arrière au
feu ni le soumettre à d’autres sources de
chaleur élevée. L’amortisseur arrière ris-
que d’exploser en raison de la dilatation de
l’azote ou de l’endommagement du flexi-
ble.
3.Être attentif à n’endommager aucune
pièce de l’amortisseur arrière. Un amortis-
seur endommagé va limiter les performan-
ces d’amortissement ou entraîner un
mauvais fonctionnement.
4. Veiller à ne pas griffer la surface de con-
tact de la tige, de l’huile risque de s’écou-
ler.
5. Avant de jeter l’amortisseur arrière, con-
sulter la section “Remarques sur la mise au
rebut”.

Vor der Entsorgung eines Hinterradstoßdämp-
fers und eines Gaszylinders muß das Gas erst
entweichen.

Zu diesem Zweck muß in einem Abstand von
a von der Unterkante des Gaszylinders ein
Loch von 2–3 mm (0,08–0,12 in) gebohrt wer-
den (siehe Abbildung).
WARNUNG
Augenschutz tragen, um Augenschäden
durch austretendes Gas oder Metallspäne
zu vermeiden.

Zum Ablassen des Gasdrucks mit einem ge-
eigneten Werkzeug auf die Gasventilnadel
drücken, wie in der Abbildung gezeigt, bis das
gesamte Gas abgelassen ist (der Zischton hört
auf).

Il est indispensable d’éliminer la pression du gaz
avant de jeter l’amortisseur arrière et sa bonbonne.

Pour ce faire, forer un trou de 2 à 3 mm (0,08 à
0,12 in) à travers la paroi du cylindre de gaz en un
point situé à a de son extrémité comme illustré.
AVERTISSEMENT
Porter des lunettes pour se protéger des projec-
tions de gaz et/ou de particules de métal.

Pour relâcher la pression du gaz, appuyer sur
l’aiguille de soupape à gaz avec l’outil approprié,
comme indiqué, jusqu’à ce que tout le gaz soit sorti
(arrêt du sifflement).
