plers get wet, they could corrode, which
could lead to poor connections.
(5) Crank the engine for 5 seconds at wide
open throttle. Repeat this step until all of
the water in the cylinders has been ex-
pelled.
(6) Spray a rust inhibitor into each spark plug
hole for 5 seconds.
(7) Crank the engine for 5 seconds at wide
open throttle. Repeat this step several
times.
(8) Install the spark plugs, and then connect
the spark plug caps and fuel injector cou-
plers.

Do not start the engine even after complet-
ing the previous steps. Any water remain-
ing in the engine could cause serious
engine damage.
(9) Have the watercraft inspected by a
Yamaha dealer as soon as possible.
CAUTION:

Be sure to have a Yamaha dealer inspect
the watercraft. Otherwise, serious engine
damage could result.
