To reset a tripmeter, select it by pushing the
“TRIP/ODO” button, and then push the
“TRIP/ODO” button for at least three seconds. The
tripmeters can be used to estimate the distance
that can be traveled with a full tank of fuel. This in-
formation will enable you to plan future fuel stops.NOTE:_ Holding in the “TRIP/ODO” button and then turning
the key to “ON” switches the display between
“mph” and “km/h”. _Clock mode
Pushing the “”/“” button switches the dis-
play between the clock mode “CLOCK” and the
hour meter mode “HOUR” in the following order:

Pour remettre un totalisateur journalier à zéro, le sélec-
tionner en appuyant sur le bouton “TRIP/ODO”, puis ap-
puyer sur le bouton “TRIP/ODO” pendant au moins trois
secondes. Utiliser les totalisateurs journaliers pour esti-
mer la distance qu’il est possible de parcourir avec un
plein de carburant. Cette information permet de planifier
les arrêts pour ravitaillement en carburant.N.B.:_ Maintenir le bouton “TRIP/ODO” enfoncé, puis tourner

Override switch “OVERRIDE”
Top speed is normally limited when operating in
4WD-LOCK. If conditions require more engine
power when riding forward, push and hold this
switch to override the 4WD-LOCK speed limiting
function. (See page 4-31 for a detailed explanation
about the differential gear lock switch and its func-
tion.) Releasing the switch restores the speed lim-
iting function.
While this switch is pushed, the segments of the
speedometer digits will appear as shown in the fig-
ure.NOTE:_ If the digits of the speedometer appear as shown
when the switch is NOT being pushed, this could
indicate a malfunction in the electrical system. In
this case, take the ATV to a Yamaha dealer at the
first opportunity. _

Contacteur de désactivation “OVERRIDE”
La vitesse maximale du véhicule est limitée par défaut
lors de la conduite en mode “4WD-LOCK”. Si un sur-
croît de puissance s’avère toutefois nécessaire, enfoncer
ce contacteur permet de désactiver la fonction de limita-
tion de vitesse du “4WD-LOCK” lorsque le véhicule est
en marche avant. (Se reporter à la page 4-32 pour plus de
détails au sujet du contacteur de blocage du différentiel et
de sa fonction). La fonction de limitation de vitesse est
réactivée dès que le contacteur est relâché.
Tant que ce contacteur est enfoncé, les segments formant
les chiffres du compteur de vitesse s’affichent comme il-
lustré.N.B.:_ Si les chiffres du compteur de vitesse s’affichent comme
illustré alors que le contacteur n’est pas enfoncé, il se
peut qu’il y ait une défaillance dans le circuit électrique.
Dans ce cas, il faut confier le VTT à un concessionnaire
Yamaha le plus rapidement possible. _

Interruptor de cancelación “OVERRIDE”
La velocidad más alta normalmente se limita cuando
se circula en el modo 4WD-LOCK. Si las condicio-
nes requieren que se disponga de más potencia del
motor cuando se circula hacia delante, presione y
mantenga presionado este interruptor para cancelar
la función del limitador de velocidad 4WD-LOCK.

queo de engranajes del diferencial y su funciona-
miento, consulte la página 4-32.) Al soltar este inte-
rruptor se repone la función del limitador de
velocidad.
Mientras se presiona este interruptor, los segmentos
de los dígitos del velocímetro aparecen como se
muestra en la ilustración.NOTA:_ Si los dígitos del velocímetro aparecieran como se
muestra cuando NO se está presionando el interrup-
tor, podría deberse a un mal funcionamiento del sis-
tema eléctrico. En este caso, lleve el ATV a un con-
cesionario Yamaha tan pronto como sea posible. _
