Position 1 beeinflußt die Beschleu-
nigung bei 1/8-3/4 geöffnetem Gas-
drehgriff.

Réglage de la position de l’aiguille
La position de l’aiguille 1 détermine
l’accélération à une ouverture des gaz de
1/8 à 3/4.
1. Trop riche à des vitesses intermé-
diaires
Le moteur réagit durement et
l’accélération est irrégulière. Il
convient alors afin d’appauvrir
l’émulsion, de rehausser d’un
cran le clip d’accrochage de
l’aiguille pour que l’aiguille
redescende.
2. Trop pauvre à des vitesses inter-
médiaires
Le moteur crachote et accélère
trop lentement.
Il faut enrichir l’émulsion en
abaissant d’un cran le clip
d’accrochage de l’aiguille afin de
relever celle-ci.

Leak jet adjustment (accelerator pump
adjustment)
The leak jet 1 is a setting part that adjusts the
flow of fuel discharged by the accelerator
pump. Since the accelerator pump operates
only when throttle is open, the leak jet is used
to adjust a fuel mixture ratio for quick throttle
opening and is therefore different from other
setting parts that adjust a fuel mixture for each
throttle opening (each engine speed).
1. The engine breathes hard in quick throt-
tle opening.

Relationship with throttle opening
The flow of the fuel through the carburetor
main system is controlled by the main jet and
then, it is further regulated by the area
between the main nozzle and the jet needle.
The fuel flow relates to the diameter of the
straight portion of the jet needle with the throt-
tle 1/8 to 1/4 open and relates to the clip posi-
tion with the throttle 1/8 to 3/4 open.
Therefore, the fuel flow is balanced at each
stage of throttle opening by the combination of
the jet needle straight portion diameter and
clip position.

Leckdüseneinstellung (Gaspum-
peneinstellung)
Die Leckdüse 1 ist ein Einstellteil,
das den von der Gaspumpe abgege-
benen Kraftstofffluß regelt. Da die
Gaspumpe nur arbeitet, wenn die
Drosselklappe offen ist, wird die
Leckdüse zur Einstellung eines
Kraftstoffmischverhältnisses für
schnelle Drosselklappenöffnung ver-
wendet und unterscheidet sich
darum von anderen Einstellteilen, die
eine Kraftstoffmischung für jede
Drosselklappenöffnung (jede Motor-
drehzahl) einstellen.

Zusammenhang mit der Gasdreh-
grifföffnung
Die durch das Vergaser-Hauptsy-
stem strömende Luftmenge wird
durch die Hauptdüse geregelt und
danach weiter durch die Fläche zwi-
schen der Hauptdüse und der
Düsennadel kontrolliert.
Der Kraftstofffluß entspricht bei etwa
1/8–1/4 Gasdrehgriff dem Durch-
messer des geraden Teils der
Düsennadel, bei etwa 1/8–3/4 Gas
dagegen der Düsennadel-Clip-Posi-
tion.
Daher wird der Kraftstofffluß an jeder
Stufe der Gasdrehgrifföffnung durch
die Kombination des Durchmessers
des geraden Teils der Düsennadel
und der Düsennadel-Clip-Position
ausgeglichen.

Le gicleur de fuite 1 est une pièce qui
ajuste le débit de carburant sortant de la
pompe d’accélérateur. Comme la pompe
d’accélérateur ne fonctionne que lors-
que le papillon des gaz est ouvert, le
gicleur de fuite sert à régler le mélange
du carburant lors d’une ouverture rapide
du papillon, et diffère en ceci des autres
pièces servant à régler le mélange de car-
burant à chaque ouverture du papillon
(pour chaque vitesse du moteur).

Rapport avec l’ouverture des gaz
Le débit d’essence dans le circuit princi-
pal du carburateur est contrôlé par le
gicleur principal ainsi que par la distance
entre le diffuseur et l’aiguille. Le débit
dépend du diamètre de la portion droite
de l’aiguille à une ouverture des gaz de
1/8 à 1/4 et dépend de la position du clip
à une ouverture des gaz de 1/8 à 3/4.
Le débit d’essence est réglé à chaque
degré d’ouverture des gaz par une com-
binaison des facteurs suivants: diamètre
de la partie droite de l’aiguille et position
du clip.

Rapporto con l’apertura dell’accele-
ratore
Il flusso del carburante attraverso il
sistema principale del carburatore è con-
trollolato dal getto principale e poi viene
regolato ulteriormente dall’area tra
l’ugello principale e l’ago di spruzzo.
Il flusso del carburante è relativo al dia-
metro della parte diritta dell’ago di
spruzzo con l’acceleratore aperto da 1/8
a 1/4 e relativo alla posizione del ferma-
glio con l’acceleratore aperto da 1/8 a
3/4.
Di conseguenza, il flusso del carburante
è bilanciato a ciascuno stadio di apertura
dell’acceleratore dalla combinazione di
diametro della parte diritta dell’ago di
spruzzo e posizione del fermaglio.

Examples of carburetor setting depending on symptom
This should be taken simply for an example. It is necessary to set the carburetor while checking
the operating conditions of the engine.
