Adjust the pedal height

the minimum É as shown. (In
this adjustment, the bolt 3
end b should protrude out of
the threaded portion 4 but
not be less than 2 mm

brake pedal 5).
After the pedal height adjust-
ment, make sure that the rear
brake does not drag.

AVERTISSEMENT
Régler la hauteur de la pédale
entre le maximum È et le mini-
mum É de la manière indiquée.
(Dans ce réglage, l’extrémité b
du boulon 3 doit sortir de la
partie filetée 4, mais pas de plus

Float height
1. Measure:

Float height:
8.0 mm (0.31 in)
Measurement and adjustment
steps:
Hold the carburetor in an upside
down position.
NOTE:Slowly tilt the carburetor in the
opposite direction, then take the
measurement when the needle
valve aligns with the float arm.
If the carburetor is level, the
weight of the float will push in
the needle valve, resulting in an
incorrect measurement.
Measure the distance between
the mating surface of the float
chamber and top of the float
using a vernier calipers.
NOTE:The float arm should be resting on
the needle valve, but not com-
pressing the needle valve.
If the float height is not within
specification, inspect the valve
seat and needle valve.
If either is worn, replace them
both.
If both are fine, adjust the float
height by bending the float tab
b on the float.
Recheck the float height.

Mettre le carburateur à l’envers.
N.B.:
Incliner lentement le carburateur
dans la direction opposée, puis
mesurer quand le pointeau s’ali-
gne sur le bras du flotteur.
Quand le carburateur est à l’hori-
zontale, le poids du flotteur va
pousser sur le pointeau, ce qui
faussera la mesure
A l’aide d’un pied à coulisse à ver-
nier, mesurer la distance entre le
plan de joint de la cuve et le haut
du flotteur.
N.B.:
Le bras du flotteur doit reposer sur le
pointeau, mais il ne doit pas le com-
primer.
Si la hauteur du flotteur est hors
spécifications, contrôler le siège de
pointeau et le pointeau.
Si l’une ou l’autre de ces pièces est
usée, les changer toutes les deux.
Si ces deux pièces sont en bon état,
régler la hauteur du flotteur en
courbant la languette b du flot-
teur.
Recontrôler la hauteur du flotteur.

cifiée, glisser sous la plaque du bois-
seau 1 la tige 2 etc. du même
diamètre externe que la valeur spéci-
fiée.
Hauteur du boisseau:
1,5 mm (0,06 in)
Serrer complètement la vis de
réglage 3 de la pompe d’accéléra-
teur.
Enfoncer légèrement le levier de
timonerie 4 pour vérifier la garde
b.
Dévisser progressivement la vis de
réglage touten déplaçant le levier
de timonerie jusqu’à ce que tout le
jeu ait disparu.
Montage du carburateur
