NOTE:Slide the spring guide into the kick
shaft, make sure the groove

spring guide fits on the stopper of the
torsion spring.
4. Install:
Kick shaft assembly

NOTE:Apply the molybdenum disulfide
grease on the contacting surfaces
of the kick shaft stopper

stopper plate

Apply the engine oil on the kick
shaft.
Slide the kick shaft assembly into
the crankcase and make sure the
kick shaft stopper
a fits into the
stopper plate.
5. Hook:
Torsion spring

NOTE:Turn the torsion spring clockwise and
hook into the proper hole
a in the
crankcase.
Kick idle gear
1. Install:
Kick idle gear
1
Washer

Circlip

NOTE:Apply the engine oil on the kick idle
gear inner circumference.
Install the kick idle gear with its
depressed side
a toward you.
New
2. Monter:
Ressort de torsion 1
Sur l’arbre de kick 2.
N.B.:
S’assurer que la butée a du ressort de
torsion correspond au trou b sur l’arbre
de kick.
3. Monter:
Guide de ressort 1
N.B.:
Coulisser le guide de ressort dans l’arbre
de kick, s’assurer que la gorge a dans le
guide de ressort soit engagée sur la butée
du ressort de torsion.
4. Monter:
Arbre de kick complet 1
Rondelle 2
N.B.:
Enduire les surfaces de contact de la
butée d’arbre de kick a et de la pla-
quette de butée 3 de graisse au bisul-
fure de molybdène.
Appliquer l’huile sur l’arbre de kick.
Insérer l’arbre de kick dans le carter et
s’assurer que la butée d’arbre de kick
a repose bien sur l’onglet de la pla-
que de butée.
5. Accrocher:
Ressort de torsion 1
N.B.:
Tourner le ressort de torsion à droite et
l’accrocher dans le bon orifice a du car-
ter.
Pignon de renvoi du kick
1. Monter:
Pignon de renvoi du kick 1
Rondelle 2
Circlip 3
N.B.:
Appliquer l’huile moteur sur la circon-
férence intérieure du pignon de renvoi
du kick.
Monter le pignon de renvoi du kick, le
côté abaissé a orienté vers soi.

3. Check:
Starter clutch operation
Install the starter clutch drive
gear
1 onto the starter clutch
2 and hold the starter clutch.
When turning the starter clutch
drive gear counterclockwise
É,
the starter clutch and the starter
clutch drive gear should
engage. If the starter clutch
drive gear and starter clutch do
not engage, the starter clutch is
faulty and must be replaced.
When turning the starter clutch
drive gear clockwise
È, it
should turn freely.
If the starter clutch drive gear
does not turn freely, the starter
clutch is faulty and must be
replaced.
Torque limiter

3. Contrôler:
Fonctionnement du rochet de
démarrage
Installer le pignon d’entraînement
du rochet de démarrage 1 sur le
rochet de démarrage 2 et tenir le
rochet de démarrage.
Tout en tournant le pignon
d’entraînement du rochet de
démarrage dans le sens antihoraire
É, engager le rochet et le pignon.
Si cela n’est pas possible, c’est que
le rochet est défectueux et doit être
remplacé.
Si le pignon est tourné dans le sens
horaire È, il doit tourner en dou-
ceur.
Si ce n’est pas le cas, le rochet de
démarrage est également défec-
tueux et doit être remplacé.
Limiteur de couple

Before any change, set the rear shock absorber sunken length to the standard figure 90 ~ 100 mm (3.5 ~ 3.9 in).
