TIP
*1: First, tighten the cylinder head bolts to 30 Nm (3.0 m·kgf, 22 ft·lbf) in the proper tightening se-
quence and remove them. Retighten the cylinder head bolts to 20 Nm (2.0 m·kgf, 14 ft·lbf) in the prop-
er tightening sequence, and then tighten the cylinder head bolts further to reach the specified angle
150° in the proper tightening sequence.
TIP
*2: First temporarily tighten nuts to 7 Nm (0.7 m·kgf, 5.1 ft·lbf). Then retighten them to 10 Nm (1.0
m·kgf, 7.2 ft·lbf).

NOTICE
• After a break-in or before each race, always check the points shown in “TORQUE-CHECK
POINTS” for tightening torques and retighten them. (
“TORQUE-CHECK POINTS” on page 1-
25.)
• Periodic inspection is essential in making full use of the machine performance. The life of
parts varies significantly according to the environment in which the machine runs (e.g., rain,
dirt, etc.). Therefore, earlier inspection is required by reference to the list below.
