Locking/Unlocking the Doors from the Outside
When you carry the keyless access remote,
you can lock/unlock the doors, tailgate, and
fuel fill door.
You can lock/unlock the doors, tailgate, and
fuel fill door within a radius of about 32 inches
(80 cm) of the outside door handle or tailgate
outer handle.
■Using the Keyless Access System1Locking/Unlocking the Doors from the Outside
If the interior light switch is in the door activated
position, the interior light comes on when you unlock
the doors and tailgate.
No doors opened: The li ght fades out after 30
seconds.
Doors and tailgate relo cked: The light goes off

1Using the Keyless Access System
If you do not open a door or the tailgate within 30
seconds of unlocking the vehicle with the keyless
access system, the doors and tailgate will
automatically relock.
You can lock or unlock doors using the keyless access
system only when the power mode is in VEHICLE OFF.

Interior Rearview Mirror
Adjust the angle of the rearview mirror when you are sitting in the correct driving
position.
When you are driving after dark, the
automatic dimming rearview mirror and
power door mirrors
* reduce the glare from
headlights behind you. Press the auto button
to turn this functi on on and off. When
activated, the auto indicator comes on.

Interior Lights
■ON
The interior lights come on regardless of
whether the tailgate and doors are open or
closed.
■Door activated
The interior lights come on in the following
situations:
• When the tailgate or any of the doors are
opened.
• You unlock the driver’s door.
• When the power mode is set to VEHICLE
OFF.
■OFF
The interior lights remain off regardless of
whether the tailgate or any doors are open or
closed.
■Interior Light Switches1 Interior Light Switches
In the door activated position, the interior lights fade
out and go off about 30 se conds after the doors are
closed.
The lights go off after about 30 seconds in the
following situations:
•When you unlock the driver’s door but do not open
it.
•When you set the power mode to VEHICLE OFF but
do not open a door.
You can change the interi or lights dimming time.

The interior lights go off im mediately in the following
situations:
•When you lock the driver’s door.•When you close the driver’s door in ACCESSORY
mode.
•When you set the power mode to ON.
To avoid draining the ba ttery, do not leave the
interior light on for an extended length of time when
the engine is off.
If you leave any of the tailgate or doors open in
VEHICLE OFF mode, the inte rior lights go off after
about 15 minutes.

The map lights can be turned on and off by
pressing the (map light) button.
■Second and third row
The map lights can be turned on and off by
pressing the (map light) button when the
front interior light sw itch is in the door
activated position.

The tailgate lights come on when you open
the tailgate.

The tailgate lights do not have an on/off switch. In
case the tailgate is left open for an extended period
of time, they automatically go out in 30 minutes.

sounding under the following:
•When conditions 30 seconds have elapsed.
•You unlock the doors using the remote transmitter.

•The power mode is set to ACCESSORY or ON.

uuTowing a Trailer uTowing Preparation

■Trailer light
Trailer lights and equipment must comply with federal, state, province/territory, and
local regulations. Check with your local trailer sales or rental agency for the
requirements in the area where you plan to tow.
We recommend that you have a dealer inst all a Acura wiring harness and converter.
They are designed for your vehicle.
■Hitches
Read the trailer manufacturer ’s instructions, and select the appropriate draw bar for
the height of the trailer you will be towing.
■Weight distribution hitches
Your vehicle is designed to tow without the need for a load distributing hitch. If you
wish to use one, please cons ult your trailer maker for proper installation and set-up.
Improper set-up could degrade the handling, stability, and braking performance of
your vehicle.

rear panel lining in the cargo area.
Even if you are planning to use the non-Acura trailer
lighting harness and converte r, ask a dealer for the
correct connector and pins.

Handling the Unexpected

Checking the Engine
If the engine does not start, check the starter.
