You can use the kit to inflate a non-punctured under-inflated tire.
1.Open the trunk floor lid.
2 Getting Ready to Temporarily Repair

2.Remove the kit from the case.
3. Place the kit, face up, on flat ground near
the tire to inflated, away from traffic. Do
not place the kit on its side.
4. Remove the sealant/air hose from the kit.
5. Remove the valve cap.
6. Attach the sealant/air hose onto the tire
valve stem. Screw it until it is tight.

NOTICE
Do not operate the temporary tire repair kit
compressor for more than 15 minutes. The
compressor can overheat and become permanently
damaged.
3WARNING
Running the engine with the vehicle in an
enclosed or even partly enclosed area can
cause a rapid buildup of toxic carbon
monoxide.
Breathing this colorless, odorless gas can
cause unconsciousness and even death.
Only run the engine to power the air

2.Take the wheel nut wrench out of the tool
case.
3. Unscrew the wing bolt and remove the tool
case. Then, remove the compact spare tire.
4. Take the jack out of the trunk.
u Turn the jack’s end bracket to loosen it,
then remove it.
5. Place a wheel block or rock in front and rear
of the wheel diagonal to the flat tire.

5. Lower the vehicle and remove the jack.
Tighten the wheel nuts in the order
indicated in the image. Go around,
tightening the nuts, two to three times in
this order.
Wheel nut torque:
94 lbf∙ft (127 N∙m, 13 kgf∙m)
1. Put the flat tire in the storage bag provided
with your vehicle.
u The storage bag is in the spare tire tub.
2. Knot the top of the storage bag.
3. Securely put the wheel nut wrench and jack
handle bar back in the tool case. Store the
case and jack in the trunk.

Store the wheel, jack, and tools securely
before driving.

Pull up on the trunk floor lid strap, unscrew
the wing bolt, and remove the tool case.
Then, remove the compact spare tire and
battery cover.

Remove the cover on the + terminal (as
shown).
Replacement of this fuse should be done by
a dealer.

Inspecting and Changing Fuses
1. Set the power mode to VEHICLE OFF
(LOCK). Turn headlight s and all accessories
off.
2. Remove the fuse box cover.
3. Check the large fuse in the engine
compartment.
u If the fuse is blown, use a Phillips-head
screwdriver to remo ve the screw and
replace it with a new one.
4. Inspect the small fuses in the engine
compartment and the vehicle interior.
u If there is a blown fuse, remove it with
the fuse puller and replace it with a new
one.
5. Check the fuses on the battery in the trunk
room.
u If the fuse is blown, have it replaced by a

NOTICE
Replacing a fuse with on e that has a higher rating
greatly increases the chances of damaging the
electrical system.
Use the charts to locate the fuse in question and
confirm the specified amperage on the fuse label. 2 Fuse Locations P. 620
Replace fuse with a spare fuse of the same specified
amperage.
There is a fuse puller on the back of the engine
compartment fuse box cover type A.

If You Cannot Unlock the Fuel Fill Door
If you cannot unlock the fuel fill door, use the following procedure.1.Open the trunk.
2. Pull the release cord towards you.
u The release cord unlocks the fuel fill door
when it is pulled.

If You Cannot Open the Trunk
If you cannot open the trunk, use the following procedure.1.Remove the cover located behind the rear
seat.
2. Insert the key into the cylinder and turn the
key to the right.

Refueling
Refueling From a Portable Fuel Container
If you have run out of fuel and need to refuel your vehicle from a portable fuel
container, use the funnel provided with your vehicle.1.Turn off the engine.
2. Press on the edge of the fuel fill door to
make it pop up slightly.

3.Take the funnel out of the tool case in the
trunk.

4.Place the end of the funnel on the lower
part of filler opening, then insert it slowly
and fully.
u Make sure that the end of the funnel
goes down along with the filler pipe.
5. Fill the tank with fuel from the portable fuel
container.
u Pour fuel carefully so you do not spill any.
6. Remove the funnel from the filler neck.
u Wipe up any fuel from the funnel before
storing it.
7. Shut the fuel fill door by hand.

Do not insert the nozzle of a portable fuel container
or any funnel other than the one provided with your
vehicle. Doing so can damage the fuel systemM
Do not try to pry open or push open the sealed fuel
tank with foreign objects. This can damage the fuel
system and its seal.
Make sure the fuel in the portable fuel container is
gasoline before you refuelM

Gasoline is highly flammable and explosive.
You can be burned or seriously injured
when handling fuel.
• Stop the engine, and keep heat, sparks,
and flame away.
• Handle fuel only outdoors.
