The AutoLockfunctionlocksalldoorsandthe
luggagecompartmentlidoncethespeedhasex-
ceededapproximately9mph(15km/h).
Thevehiclecan beunlockediftheopeningfunc-
tioninthecentrallockingsystemswitchisused
oroneofthedoorhandlesispulled.
Intheeventofacrashwithairbagdeployment,
thedoorswillalsoautomaticallyunlocktoallow
accesstothevehicle.
Selectivedoorunlocking
Thedoorsandluggagecompartmentlidwilllock
whentheyclose.YoucansetintheInfotainment
systemwhetheronlythedriver'sdoorortheen-
tirevehicleshould beunlockedwhenunlocking

Unintentionallylockingyourselfout
Onlylockyourvehiclewhenallofthedoorsand
theluggagecompartmentlidareclosedandthe

vehiclekeyisnotinthevehicle.Thisreducesthe
riskoflockingyourselfoutaccidentally.
Thefollowingfeatureshelptoreducetheriskof
lockingyourvehiclekeyinthevehicle:
—Ifthedriver's doorisopen,thevehiclecannot
belockedbypressingthe@buttononthevehi-
clekeyorbytouchingthelockingsensor*ona
door.
—Appliesto:sedan:Iftheconveniencekey*that
wasusedlastisdetectedinsidetheluggage
compartment,theluggagecompartmentlid
willautomaticallyunlockandopenagainafter
closingit.
—Ifthelastconveniencekey*thatwasusedisde-
tectedinsidethevehicle,thevehiclecannotbe
lockedfromtheoutsideforabrieftime.

ZAWARNING
—Ifyouleavethevehicle,switchtheignition
offandtakethevehiclekeywithyou. This
appliesparticularlywhenchildrenremainin
thevehicle.Otherwise,childrencouldstart
theengineoroperateelectricalequipment
(such aspowerwindows),whichincreases
theriskofanaccident.
—Noone,especiallychildren,shouldstayin
thevehiclewhenitislockedfromtheout-
side,becausethewindowscannolongerbe
openedfromtheinside>page34.Locked
doorsmakeitmoredifficultforemergency
workerstoenterthevehicle,whichputs
livesatrisk.
