The short-te rm memory collects driv ing informa­
tion from the time the ignition is switched on un­
til it is switched off.
If you continue driving with­
in two hours after switching the ignition
off, the
new values are included when ca lculating the cur­
rent trip information.
Unlike the short-term memory, the long-term
memo ry is not erased automatically. You can se­
lect the time period for evaluating trip informa-
t ion yourse lf . ..,.
