Thecominghomefunctionilluminatesthe
areaaroundthevehiclewhentheignitionis
switchedoffandthedriver'sdoorisopened.
Thelengthoftimethelightsremainoncan be
setinthemenudisplay(Illumination>Exte­
rior
lights>cominghome).
The leavinghomefunctionilluminatesthe
areaaroundthevehiclewhenunlocking it.

- Never use
daytimerunninglightstosee
whereyouaregoing. Theyarenotbright
enoughandwillnotletyouseefar
enoughaheadforsafety, especiallyat
duskorwhenitisdark.Always switchon
thelowbeamsatduskorwhenitisdark.

Automaticheadlightsareonlyintended
toassistthedriver. Theydonotrelieve
thedriverofhisresponsibilitytocheck
theheadlightsandtoturnthemonman­
ually accordingtothecurrentlightand
visibility conditions. Forexample,fog
andraincannotbedetectedbythelight
sensors.Soalways switchonthehead­
lightsundertheseweatherconditions
andwhendrivinginthedarkgD.
-Crashes canhappenwhenyoucannotsee
theroadaheadandwhenyoucannotbe
seenbyothermotorists.

timeautomaticheadlightsareswitched
on.Tousethehighbeams,youfirsthave

Incoolordampweather,theinsideof
theheadlights,turnsignalsandtail
lightscan fog overduetothetempera­
turedifferencebetweentheinsideand
outside.They willclearshortlyafter
switchingthemon.Thisdoesnotaffect
theservice lifeofthelighting.
