no-touch
activation
Concept
The
trunk
lid
can
be
opened
with
no-touch
actij
vation
using
the
remote
control
you
are
carrying. With
automatic
tailgate
operation,
it
can
also
be
closed
with
no-touch
activation.
Two
sensors detect
a
forward-directed
foot
motion
in
the
cenjtral
rear
area
and
the
trunk
lid
is
opened
orclosed.
General
information
To
avoid
locking
it
in
the
vehicle,
do
not
place
the
remote
control
in
the
cargo
area.
If
the
remote
control
is
in
the
sensor
area,
the
trunk
lid
may
open
or
close
inadvertently
if
you
unintentionally
move
your
foot
or
if
a
foot
movej ment
is
detected.
The
sensor
has
an
approximate
range
of
5
ft/1.50
m
extending
from
the
rear
of
the
vehij cle.
If
you
open
the
trunk
lid
with
no-touch
activation,
locked
doors
will
not
be
unlocked.

the
foot
movement

With
this
movement,
the
leg
must

Moving
your

again

opening

smartphone

card
The
vehicle

key
card.
The
key
card

be
used

digital
key

has
already
been
paired
with the
vehicle
is
installed
on
the
key
card.
The
digij
tal
key
must
be
activated
via
iDrive.
A
selection
can
thereby
be
made
whether
the
key
card
is
valid
temporarily
or
permanently.
A
key
card
that
is
valid
temporarily
looses
its
validity
as
soon
as
the
engine
is
started
with
another
digital
key
or
a
vehicle
key.
When
you
exit
the
vehicle,
take

card
with

as

starts

Transferring
digital
keys The
vehicle
owner
can
transfer
a
digital
key
for
his/her
vehicle
to
another
person
with
a
compatij
ble
smartphone
via
the
BMW
Connected
app.
When
a
digital
key
is
transferred,
a
transaction
number
TAN
will
be
generated.
Another
person
can
pair
the
digital
key
in
the
vehicle
with
this
TAN
and
the
Digital
Key
Code.
This
makes
it
possible
to
allow
another
person
to
use
the
vehij
cle
without
having
to
be
at
the
vehicle.
The
TAN
and
the
Digital
Key
Code
should
only
be
disclosed
in
person
or
by
phone.
The
Safe
Share
function
is
available
depending
on
the
software
version
of
the
BMW
Connected
app.
If
this
function
is
activated
prior
to
hand
off,
the
digital
key
is
subject
to
certain
restrictions.
For
example,
some
of
the
driving
stability
sysj
tems
can
no
longer
be
activated.
For

The
transferred
digital
key
can
be
removed
in
the
vehicle

via

the

and

number
of
engine

used
with
another

with

Pairing
digital
keys
in
the
vehicle
To
pair
a
digital
key,
a
vehicle
key
must
be

cated
in
the
vehicle
or

active
digital
key
of

owner

smartphone
tray.
If
the
digital
key
was
transferred
by
the
vehicle
owner,
it
may
not
be
possible
to
meet
this
rejquirement.
In
this
case,
it

to
enter the

Code
and

TAN.

unlocked
with
the
transferred

ital
key
before

Driver
profiles
Concept
In
the
driver
profiles,
individual
settings
for
sevj
eral
drivers
can
be
stored
and
called
up
again
when
required.
General
information
There
are
three
driver
profiles
with
which
perj
sonal
vehicle
settings
can
be
stored.
Every
rej mote
control
has
one
of
these
driver
profiles
asj
signed.
If
the
vehicle
is
unlocked
using
a
remote
control,
the
assigned
personal
driver
profile
will
be
actij vated.
All
settings
stored
in
the
driver
profile
are
automatically
applied.
If
several
drivers
use
their
own
remote
control, the
vehicle
will
apply
the
personal
settings
as
it
isbeing
unlocked.
These
settings
are
also
rejstored,
if
the
vehicle
has
been
used
in
the
meanj
time
by
a
person
with
a
different
remote
control.
Changes
to
the
settings
are
automatically
stored
in
the
driver
profile
currently
activated.
If
another
driver
profile
is
selected
via
iDrive,
the settings
stored
in
it
will
be
applied
automatically.The
new
driver
profile
is
assigned
to
the
remotecontrol
currently
used.
There
is
an
additional
guest
profile
available
that
is
not
assigned
to
any
remote
control.
It
can
be
used
to
apply
settings
in
the
vehicle
without
changing
the
personal
driver
profiles.

particular
driver,
the
