Seat
position
and
height
Before
installing
a
child
restraint
system,
move
the
front
passenger
seat
as
far
back
as
it
will
go
and,
if
possible,
bring
it
up
to
medium
height.
This
seat
position
and
height
ensure
the
best
possible
position
for
the
belt
and
offers
optimal
protection
in
the
event
of
an
accident.
If
the
upper
anchor
of
the
safety
belt
is
located
in
front
of
the
belt
guide
of
the
child
seat,
move
the
front
passenger
seat
carefully
forward
until
the
best
possible
belt
guide
position
is
reached.
Backrest
width
Adjustable
backrest
width:
before
installing
a
child
restraint
system
in
the
front
passenger
seat,
open
the
backrest
width
completely.
Do
not
change
the
backrest
width
again
and
do
not
call
up
a
memory
position.
Child
seat
security
The
safety
belts
in
the
rear
and
the
front

safety
belt

be
permanently
locked
to

ten

BMW
eDRIVE
Concept
This
BMW
is
a
hybrid
vehicle.
In
addition
to
the
combustion
engine,
the
vehicle
features
a
high-
voltage
hybrid
system
that
consists
of
an
electric
motor
and
a
high-voltage
battery
among
other
things.
The
hybrid
system
can
move
the
vehicle
entirely
on
battery
power.
It
can
also
support
the
com#j
bustion
engine
in
certain
situations.
General
information
The
vehicle
does
not
consume
any
fuel
while
running
on
battery
power.
This
enables
environ#j
mentally
friendly
driving
without
emissions
in
cer#j
tain
conditions,
for
example,
in
city
traffic.
During
driving
with
the
combustion
engine,
the
hybrid
system
helps
to
lower
fuel
consumption.
The
electric
motor
is
switched
on
to
support
this,
if
required
by
the
situation.
In
addition
to
this,
the
electric
motor
acts
as
an
alternator:
during
braking
and
coasting,
the
elec#j
tric
motor
converts
the
vehicle's
kinetic
energy

electrical

electrical
energy
