key
battery
General
information Follow
the
following
information:

charge
state

battery

recharged

of
the
standard
buttons
is
retained until
the
battery

Switching
on
drive-ready
state
via
emergency
detection
of
the
BMW
display
key
It
is
not
possible
to
switch
on
the
drive-ready
state
if
the
display
key
has
not
been
detected.
Proceed
as
follows
in
this
case:1.Hold
the
display
key
with
its
back
against
the marked
area
on
the
steering
column.
Pay
atjtention
to
the
display
in
the
instrument
clusjter.2.If
the
display
key
is
detected:
Switch
on
drive-ready
state
within
10
secj
onds.
If
the
display
key
is
not
detected,
slightly
change
the
position
of
the
display
key
and
repeat
the
procedure.
Resetting
the
BMW
display
key
If
the
charged
display
key
cannot
be
switched
on anymore
or
if
the
display
does
not
respond
toentries
anymore,
the
display
key
can
be
reset.
Press
and
hold
the
button
on
the
left
side
of
the
display
key
for
at
least
20
seconds,
until
somej
thing
appears
on
the
display.
Integrated
key
General
information The
driver's
door
can
be
locked
and
unlocked
without
remote
control
using
the
integrated
key.
The
integrated
key
also
fits
the
glove
compartjment.
Safety
information
WARNING
For
some
country
versions,
unlocking
from
the inside
is
only
possible
with
special
knowledge.
Persons
who
spend
a
lengthy
time
in
the
vehij
cle
while
being
exposed
to
extreme
temperaj tures
are
at
risk
of
injury
or
death.
Do
not
lock
the
vehicle
from
the
outside
when

Concept
The
trunk
lid
can
be
opened
with
no-touch
actij
vation
using
the
remote
control
you
are
carrying. With
automatic
tailgate
operation,
it
can
also
be
closed
with
no-touch
activation.
Two
sensors detect
a
forward-directed
foot
motion
in
the
cenjtral
rear
area
and
the
trunk
lid
is
opened
orclosed.
General
information To
avoid
locking
it
in
the
vehicle,
do
not
place
the
remote
control
in
the
cargo
area.
If
the
remote
control
is
in
the
sensor
area,
the
trunk
lid
can
be
opened
or
closed
inadvertently by
an
unconscious
or
alleged
recognized
footmovement.
The
sensor
has
an
approximate
range
of
5
ft/1.50
m
extending
from
the
rear
of
the
vehij
cle.
If
you
open
the
trunk
lid
with
no-touch
activation,
locked
doors
will
not
be
unlocked.

central
locking

Concept
In
the
driver
profiles,
individual
settings
for
sevj
eral
drivers
can
be
stored
and
called
up
again
when
required.
General
informationThere
are
three
driver
profiles
with
which
perj
sonal
vehicle
settings
can
be
stored.
Every
rej mote
control
has
one
of
these
driver
profiles
asjsigned.
If
the
vehicle
is
unlocked
using
a
remote
control, the
assigned
personal
driver
profile
will
be
actij vated.
All
settings
stored
in
the
driver
profile
areautomatically
applied.
If
several
drivers
use
their
own
remote
control, the
vehicle
will
adjust
the
personal
settings
durj
ing
unlocking.
These
settings
are
also
restored,
if
the
vehicle
has
been
used
in
the
meantime
by
a
person
with
a
different
remote
control.
Changes
to
the
settings
are
automatically
stored
in
the
driver
profile
currently
activated.
If
another
driver
profile
is
selected
via
iDrive,
the settings
stored
in
it
will
be
applied
automatically.
