terminalofthevehicleprovidingassistance.3.Attachtheterminalclampontheotherendof thecabletothepositiveterminalofthebatjtery,ortothecorrespondingstartingaidterjminalofthevehicletobestarted.4.Attachoneterminalclampofthenegativejumpercabletothenegativeterminalofthe
battery,ortothecorrespondingengineor
bodygroundofassistingvehicle.5.Attachthesecondterminalclamptothenegj
ativeterminalofthebattery,ortothecorrej spondingengineorbodygroundofthevehij
cletobestarted.
Startingtheengine
Neverusesprayfluidstostarttheengine.
1.Starttheengineoftheassistingvehicleand letitrunforseveralminutesatanincreased
idlespeed.2.Starttheengineofthevehiclethatistobe
startedintheusualway.Ifthefirststartingattemptisnotsuccessful, waitafewminutesbeforemakinganotheratj
temptinordertoallowthedischargedbattery
torecharge.3.Letbothenginesrunforseveralminutes.4.Disconnectthejumpercablesinthereverse order.
Checkthebatteryandrecharge,ifneeded.
