REAR ROOF FLAP
T h i s r e a r r o o f fl a p i s o n l y c o m p a t i b l e
with the hinged doors.
T o o p e n t h e r e a r r o o f fl a p :
- raise the black paddle of the toggle,
- relieve the toggle by pressing the r e a r r o o f fl a p ( d o w n w a r d s ) t h e n
release the hook,
- l i f t t h e r e a r r o o f fl a p ,
- pass the point of resistance to s e c u r e t h e r e a r r o o f fl a p u s i n g t h e
support struts. Support bar
A support bar is provided for
transporting long loads, after opening
t h e r e a r r o o f fl a p .
Fold back the support bar by lifting the
lever.
Support it to the door pillar.
Support the long loads to be
transported, lift them and reposition the
support bar with one hand.
Ensure that it is secured correctly by
pressing the handle downwards past
the point of resistance and secure the
l o a d s fi r m l y . The rear bumper has been
strengthened to serve as a
footrest on entering the vehicle.
Never drive without the support
bar in place.
The rear doors only lock when the
support bar is installed.
W h e n t h e r e a r r o o f fl a p i s o p e n , t a k e
care when driving where height is
restricted.
Never rest loads directly on the rear
doors.
Comply with the usual indications, to
attract the attention of other drivers.
The side supports can be used as
hooking points.

loops of the spring then place the
hook in its housing,

Gearboxes and steering wheel
GEARBOX
5-speed - reverse gear gearbox
To change gear easily, always press
the clutch pedal fully.
To prevent the mat from becoming
caught under the pedal:
- e n s u r e t h a t t h e m a t a n d i t s fi x i n g s o n t h e fl o o r a r e p o s i t i o n e d c o r r e c t l y ,
- n e v e r fi t o n e m a t o n t o p o f a n o t h e r .
When driving, avoid leaving your hand
o n t h e g e a r k n o b a s t h e f o r c e e x e r t e d ,
even if slight, may wear the internal
c o m p o n e n t s o f t h e g e a r b o x o v e r t i m e . To engage reverse gear, wait until the
vehicle is stationary then push the gear
lever to the right then down.
The lever should be moved slowly
to reduce the noise on engaging
reverse gear.
When the vehicle is stationary, unlock
the steering wheel by pulling the lever.
Adjust the height and depth of the
steering wheel, then lock by pushing
the lever fully.

Seat belts
SEAT BELTS
Height adjustment
Squeeze the control with the return and
slide the assembly on the driver’s seat
side and on the individual passenger
seat side.
The height of the seat belt associated
with the centre seat of the front bench
cannot be adjusted.
Fastening
Pull the strap, then insert the tongue
into the buckle.
Check that the seat belt is fastened
correctly by pulling the strap. Driver’s seat belt not fastened
warning light T h e s e a t b e l t s a r e fi t t e d w i t h a n i n e r t i a
reel which automatically adjusts the
length of the strap to your size. The
seat belt is rolled up automatically
when not in use.
Ensure that the seat belt is rolled up
correctly after use.
Depending on the nature and
seriousness of any impact, the
pretensioning device may be triggered
b e f o r e a n d i n d e p e n d e n t l y o f i n fl a t i o n
of the air bags. It instantly tightens
the seat belts against the body of the
occupants.
Triggering of the pretensioners is
accompanied by a slight discharge
of harmless smoke and a noise, due
to the activation of the pyrotechnic
cartridge incorporated in the system.
The force limiter reduces the pressure
of the seat belt against the body of the
o c c u p a n t s . T h e e q u i p m e n t fi t t e d t o
these seat belts is operational when
the ignition is switched on.
T h e i n e r t i a r e e l s a r e fi t t e d w i t h a d e v i c e
which automatically locks the strap in
the event of a collision or emergency
braking. You can release the seat belt
and allow the strap to roll up.
The air bag warning light comes on
if the pretensioners are triggered.
Consult a CITROËN dealer.
Unfastening
Press the red button.
When the vehicle is started,
this warning light comes on if
the driver has not fastened his
seat belt.
Good practice
Wherever you are seated in the
vehicle, always fasten your seat belt,
even for short journeys.
