MULTIFUNCTION PASSENGER SEAT
To fold the seat fully:
Pull the control 2 upwards and tilt the
whole seat.
It is not necessary to remove the
head restraint.
This provides access to a box which
enables you to store objects so that
they cannot be seen from outside the
vehicle. I f y o u r v e h i c l e i s n o t fi t t e d w i t h a l o a d
blocking partition, it can accommo-
date long objects (up to 2.10 m).
These must be placed on the front
e d g e o f t h e fl o o r a n d s e c u r e d u s i n g
the rear bar of the boot or using the
lashing rings.
To fold the seat back:
Pull the control
1 upwards and tilt the
seat back.
T h i s p r o v i d e s a fl a t s u r f a c e , r e c e s s -
es for drinks and a strap for retaining
documents.

THE ALARM SYSTEM *
The alarm offers two types of protec-
tion:
- exterior protection: the alarm
sounds if a door, the boot or the
bonnet is opened ;
- interior protection: the alarm
sounds if there is a variation in
the volume inside the vehicle
(breaking of a window or move-
ment inside the vehicle) .
Setting the alarm
Switch the ignition off and get out of
t h e v e h i c l e .
A c t i v a t e t h e a l a r m w i t h i n fi v e m i n u t e s
f o l l o w i n g y o u r e x i t f r o m t h e v e h i c l e ,
by locking using the remote control
key (the red indicator light on the
switch 1 , which can be seen from the
o u t s i d e , fl a s h e s o n c e a s e c o n d ) . Warning
If, on setting the alarm, a door, the
boot or the bonnet are not closed
correctly, the siren sounds for a mo-
m e n t .
Close the vehicle correctly to set the
a l a r m .
If the interior protection alarm is trig-
gered ten times in succession, it is
d i s a r m e d a u t o m a t i c a l l y . I t m u s t b e
set again in order for it to operate
c o r r e c t l y .
W h e n t h e a l a r m i s t r i g g e r e d , t h e s i r e n
sounds and the direction indicators
fl a s h f o r t h i r t y s e c o n d s .
After it has been triggered, the alarm
b e c o m e s o p e r a t i o n a l a g a i n .
Note: if you wish to lock your vehicle
without setting the alarm, lock it using
t h e k e y i n t h e d o o r l o c k .
Disarming the alarm
Unlock the vehicle using the remote
control key (the red indicator light on
the switch 1 g o e s o u t ) .
Note: i f t h e w a r n i n g l i g h t fl a s h e s , i t i s
a sign that the alarm has been trig-
g e r e d i n y o u r a b s e n c e .
T o s t o p i t , s w i t c h o n t h e i g n i t i o n .
Note: when the alarm is set, but the
remote control no longer works:
unlock the doors using the key
and open the door; the alarm is
triggered;
switch the ignition on within ten
s e c o n d s ; t h e a l a r m i s d i s a r m e d .
To set the alarm with exterior
protection only
If, while you are away from the vehicle,
you wish to leave a window partially
open or a pet inside the vehicle, you
n e e d t o s e l e c t e x t e r i o r p r o t e c t i o n
