Diesel - Petrol engines
Quality of the fuel used for petrol engines
T h e p e t r o l e n g i n e s a r e p e r f e c t l y c o m p a t i b l e w i t h E 5 t y p e p e t r o l b i o f u e l s ( c o n t a i n i n g 5 % e t h a n o l ) , c o n f o r m i n g t o E u r o p e a n
standard EN 228.
E 8 5 t y p e f u e l s ( c o n t a i n i n g u p t o 8 5 % e t h a n o l ) a r e r e s e r v e d e x c l u s i v e l y f o r v e h i c l e s m a r k e t e d f o r t h e u s e o f t h i s t y p e o f f u e l
(BioFlex vehicles). The quality of the ethanol must comply with European standard EN 15376.
F o r B r a z i l o n l y , s p e c i a l v e h i c l e s a r e m a r k e t e d t o r u n o n f u e l s c o n t a i n i n g u p t o 1 0 0 % e t h a n o l ( t y p e E 1 0 0 ) .
Quality of the fuel used for Diesel engines
The Diesel engines are perfectly compatible with biofuels w hich conform to current and future European standards
(diesel fuel which complies with standard EN 590 mixed with a biofuel which complies with standard EN 14214) which
c a n b e d i s t r i b u t e d a t t h e p u m p s ( p o s s i b l e i n c o r p o r a t i o n o f 0 t o 7 % F a t t y A c i d M e t h y l E s t e r ) .
The use of any other type of (bio) fuel (vegetable or animal oils, domestic fuel...) is strictly prohibited (risk of damage to
the engine and fuel circuit).
