Detection of fastening of the driver’s seat belt
When the ignition is switched on, the seat belt warning lightcomes on accompanied by an audible signal if the driver has not fastened his seat belt.
The warning light switches off when the seat belt is fastened.

INSTRUMENT PANEL INDICATOR LIGHTS

Indicator light is on Cause Actions/

Left-hand direction
indicator Flashing
with
buzzer This fl ashes when you
press the lights stalk
down. If this indicator light fl ashes abnormally quickly,
this could indicate that the electric bulb of one
of the direction indicators has blown. Change
the bulb or contact a CITROËN dealer.
Right-hand direction
indicator Flashing
with
buzzer This fl ashes when you
push the lights stalk up. If this indicator light fl ashes abnormally quickly,
this could indicate that the electric bulb of one
of the direction indicators has blown. Change
the bulb or contact a CITROËN dealer.
Main beam headlamps Fixed This comes on when
you pull the lights stalk
towards you. Pull the stalk to return to dipped headlamps.
Side lights Fixed This comes on when
the lights stalk is in the
"Side lights" or "Dipped
headlamps" position. Turn the stalk to the position required.
Front fog lamps Fixed This comes on when you
use the front fog lamps. Turn the ring on the stalk forwards to switch on
the fog lamps.
Rear fog lamps Fixed This comes on when you
use the rear fog lamps. Turn the ring on the stalk forwards to switch on
the fog lamps.
Cruise control Fixed This comes on when the
mode is active. Press the "ON/OFF" button to activate/
deactivate the mode.

Each time the engine is started: a series of warning lights and/or messages come on applying a checking self test. They
switch off after a few seconds. Engine running: the warning light or the message becomes a warning if it remains on continu -
ously or fl ashes. This initial warning may be accompanied by an audible signal and a message on the display. Do not ignore
these warnings.
The messages displayed may vary between the type 1 instrument pan el and the type 2 instrument panel.
When the cause of the appearance of the warning light o r warning message has been rectifi ed, the warning disappears fro m
the display automatically. If the cause of the warning is n ot rectifi ed, you can return to the previous screen at any time b y
pressing the INFO button on the fascia.
The symbol "!" is displayed.
To return to the previous screen (with the "!" symbol), you must press the INFO button several times.
Warning messages (ignition at "OFF")
You can shut down the warning messages which show these symbol s in order to move on to the next screen.
To do this, press the INFO button according to the symbol displayed.

LIGHTING RHEOSTAT
With the lights on or off, press the button
to change the intensity of the lighting of
the instruments and controls in "day" or
"night" mode.
When the lighting reaches the maxi-
mum setting, press again to change to
the minimum setting.
When the lighting reaches the required
intensity, release the button.
The setting is saved when the ignition
switch is turned to OFF. An audible signal is heard and the
intensity of the lighting increases
each time the button is pressed.
System for manual adjustment of the
brightness of the instruments and con-
trols in relation to the exterior brightness.

Front armrest
You can move the console housing cover
in order to use it as an armrest.

With the engine running , tilt the button
to the position required.
The temperature of the seat is regulated
automatically.
There are two setting positions:
- "HI": High heating
- "LO": Low heating
When the button is in the intermediate
position, the heating is switched off.
The indicator lights A comes on when
the system is activated.
Heated seats adjustment
To raise the head restraint, pull it upwards.
To lower the head restraint, push it
downwards pressing the height adjust-
ment button at the same time.
To remove the head restraint, bring it to
the uppermost position then remove it
pressing the height adjustment button
at the same time.
To refi t the head restraint, engage the
stems of the head restraint in the holes
pressing the height adjustment button
at the same time.
Head restraint height adjustment
Never drive with the removed
head restraints in the vehicle as
they could be thrown around the
vehicle on sharp braking. They must
be in place and adjusted correctly.
After installing the head restraint,
check that the height adjustment but-
ton is locked correctly.
The adjustment is correct when the
top of the head restraint is aligned
with the top of the head of the seated
person.

LIGHTS STALK
Additional lighting
Other lights are installed to fulfi l the re-
quirements of particular driving condi-
tions:
- rear fog lamps to be seen from a distance,
-
front fog lamps for even better visibility,
- daytime lights to be seen during the day. Certain functions of the lights stalk
(automatic lighting, sensitivity) can
be confi gured via the colour display
"Equipment" menu. Manual controls
The lighting commands are issued
directly by the driver by means of the
ring
A and the stalk B . lamps off,
automatic lighting,
sidelamps only,

Stalk for switching headlamps by
pulling: dipped headlamps/main
beam headlamps.
In the lamps off and sidelamps modes,
the driver can switch on the main beam
headlamps temporarily ("headlamp
fl ash") by maintaining a pull on the stalk.
Displays
Lighting of the corresponding indicator
lamp on the instrument panel confi rms
the selective switching on of the lighting
selected.

Main lighting
The various front and rear lights of the
vehicle are designed to adapt the driver's
visibility progressively in relation to the
climatic conditions:
- side lights, to be seen,
- dipped headlamps to see without dazzling other drivers,
- main beam headlamps to see clearly when the road isclear.
