Incorrect installation of a child seat in a vehicle compromises th
e protection
of the child in the event of a collision. The ISOFIX system e nables you to
reduce the risks that are posed by poor installation, providing your vehicle
with a fitting that is convenient, strong and reliable.
The ISOFIX RÖMER Duo
It is marketed by CITROËN. It has a top strap and is approved a s "ISOFIX
universal, weight group B1".
When this is installed in the rear of the vehicle, the corresp onding front
seat should be adjusted so that the child’s feet do not t ouch the backrest
of the front seat.
This ISOFIX child seat can also be installed in the seat posi tions that are
not equipped with ISOFIX anchoring points. In this case, it must be secured
to the vehicle seat by means of the vehicle seat belt.
Take care to comply with the fitting instructions
given in the child seat manufacturer’s user guide.

Rear parcel shelf
To remove the shelf :
- unhook the shelf from its fixingA,
- push from below to disengage it from its fixings,
- lift then tilt slightly to remove. Stow it :
- either behind the rear seats,
- or flat in the boot.

GENERAL FUNCTIONS
On / off
With the ignition key in the accessories or
ignition position, press on button A to turn
the radio on or off.
If the engine is not running, the radio switches
itself off automatically after about 30 minutes.
TIME ADJUSTMENT
Press for more than two seconds on
button J, the display for the time flashes :
VOLUME ADJUSTMENT
Successively press at the top of
button T to increase the radio sound
volume, or at the bottom to decrease the
volume.
AUDIO ADJUSTMENTS
Press successively on button J to bring up
the adjustments for bass (BASS), treble
(TREB) , front/rear balance (FAD), and left/
right balance (BAL).
SOURCE RADIO
Radio reception
Your radio will be affected by certain phenomena
which are not encountered by domestic systems. The
reception of amplitude modulation (AM) signals as
well as frequency modulation (FM) signals is subject
to interference which is caused by the nature and
propagation of the signals, but which does not reflect
on the quality of your radio installation.
In AM mode, you will notice interference when you
pass under high tension wires or bridges, or if you
travel through a tunnel.
In FM mode, the reception may be affected by the
distance from the transmitter, the reflection of the signal
off an obstacle (a mountain, hill, block of flats, etc.)
and by radio blackspots (where there is no coverage
by transmitters). Once the parameter is displayed, you
adjust it by using buttons
H and I.
You automatically quit the adjustments mode after a
few seconds with no action.
- to adjust the hours, press on button H,
- to adjust the minutes, press on button I.
You will automatically quit the adjustments mode after
a few seconds, without any action.

Selecting radio source
Press button D.
Reception in stereo
As the radio locks on to a station transmitting in stereo,
it automatically broadcasts in stereo and the screen
displays
"ST". If the reception conditions deteriorate,
the radio reverts to broadcasting in mono.
Selecting a wave band
Press successively on button D to select the wavebands
FM1, FM2, FM3 and AM.
Automatic station search
Press twice on button S to select the next
station.
Press briefly on button S to hear three
seconds of each station available on the
FM waveband. To stop the scrolling of the stations,
press again on button S.
If the traffic announcements programme TA is
selected, only those stations broadcasting this type of
programme are selected. Manual station search
Press briefly on one of the buttons H or I
to increase or decrease respectively the
frequency displayed.
By keeping the desired button pressed,
you will have continuous scrolling of
frequencies.
The scrolling stops as soon as you
release the button.
Manual pre-setting of stations
Select the station desired.
Press on one of the buttons "1" to "6" for at least two
seconds.
A sound signal confirms that the station has been
memorised.
Automatic pre-setting of FM stations (autostore)
Press on button E.
Your radio automatically
memorises the six strongest
transmitters received in
AM and in FM for the geographical area where you
happen to be. These stations are memorised in the
wavebands AM and FM3. The end of the search is
confirmed by two sound signals.
If six transmitters have not been found, the remaining
memories remain empty : for each empty memory,
three dashes are displayed on the radio screen.
Recalling pre-set stations
In each waveband, a short press on one of the buttons
"1" to "6" recalls the corresponding memorised
station.

RDS SYSTEM
Using the AF (alternative freqency) function on
the FM bandRDS (Radio Data System) enables you
to continue listening to the same station
whatever the frequency it is using in the
geographical area where you happen to
be. The radio permanently searches for the transmitter
which is best placed to broadcast this station.
With successive presses on button G, you can activate/
deactivate the function.
The screen will indicate :
- "AF" if the function is active,
- "AF REG" if the function is active on a regional
level.
If the function is not available, "AF" flashes.
Regional search mode (REG)
Some national radio networks transmit regional
programmes in the different regions that they serve.
The regional search mode enables you to listen to a
particular programme.
Search by programme type (PTY)
This enables you to listen to stations
broadcasting a particular type of
programme (NEWS, SPORTS, TALK, POP,
CLASSICS).
If FM is selected, press on button K :
- "no pty" is displayed,
- next press briefly on button K to select a
programme.
After a few seconds without action, your choice is
memorised. Traffic announcements programme (TA)
With successive presses on button F, you
can activate/deactivate the function. The
multifunction screen will indicate in FM :
-
" TP" or "TP EON" : the radio transmits a programme
while waiting for a traffic anouncement to be broadcast.
- "TA" or "TA EON" : the programme transmitted
by the radio is put on hold while waiting for a traffic
anouncement to be broadcast.
If you wish to interrupt the broadcasting of a traffic
anouncement, press button F.
Auxiliary socket
You have an auxiliary socket "AUX" for linking in your
accessory equipment (MP3 player, etc.) with an audio
cable.
To listen to it, simply connect your equipment then
press on button C.
The radio controls allow you to modify the sound
volume and to make audio adjustments.
To quit AUX source, press on AM/FM.
EON system
This system links between stations belonging to the
same
network. It enables traffic information to be transmitte d
by a station belonging to the same network as the s tation
being listened to.
To benefit from this, select the traffic announcements
programme TA.
Note : the sound volume for the traffic information is
independent of the volume for normal radio listenin g.
You can adjust it by using the volume button. Your
adjustment will be memorised and used when an
announcement is broadcast the next time.

COMPACT DISC SOURCE
Selecting CD sourceAfter inserting a CD, printed
face upwards, the CD player
starts to play automatically.
If a CD is already inserted,
press on button C.
Ejecting a CD Press on button B to eject the CD from the
player.
Selecting a track on a CD Press button H to select the next track.
Press button I to return to the start of the
track currently being played or to select
the previous track.
Accelerated sound Hold down one of the buttons N or O
respectively for fast forward or rapid
return with accelerated sound.
It stops as soon as you release the
button. Random playback of the CD (RAND)
With CD source selected, press button L.
The tracks of the CD will be played in a
random sequence. Another press on L
restores normal playback.
Random playback mode is deactivated
each time the radio is switched off.
Repetition of a track (RPT) If you wish to listen to the current track
again, press button M.
To cancel repetition, press again on
button M.
Introscan (SCAN) Press button S to hear the start of each
track of the CD currently being played.
Use of home-recorded CDs can cause malfunctions.
Insert only CDs that are circular in shape.

If you wish to hear the current CD again,
hold down button M.
To cancel repetition, press again on
button M.
CD CHANGER SOURCE
Selecting a CD
Press on button P or Q on the radio to
select respectively the previous CD or
the next CD.
Selecting a track on a CD Press button H to select the next track.
Press button I to return to the start of the
track currently being played or to select
the previous track. Accelerated sound
Hold down one of the buttons N or O
respectively for fast forward or rapid
return with accelerated sound.
It stops as soon as you release the
button.
Random playback of a CD (RDM) With CD changer source selected, hold
down button L for two seconds. The
tracks of the current CD will be played
in a random sequence. Another press
for two seconds on the button restores
normal playback.
Use of home-recorded CDs can cause malfunctions. Insert only CDs that are circular in shape.
Selecting CD changer source
Press button C.
THE CD CHANGER (available as an accessory)
It is located under one of the front seats. It can
accommodate six CDs.
Remove the magazine from the changer via the rear of
the seat and insert the CDs, printed face upwards.
Introscan (SCAN)Press button S to hear the start of each
track of the CD currently being played.

OPENING THE BONNET
Inside the vehicle: open the front door, pull the lever A, located below the
dashboard.
Outside the vehicle: lift the control B and raise the bonnet.
Bonnet stay
Secure the stay to keep the bonnet
open.
To close
Before closing the bonnet,
reposition the stay in its location.
Lower the bonnet and then release
it to close. Check that it is properly
closed.
Check that the bonnet is securely locked.
Avoid opening it when
there are strong winds.
