MONITORING
Airbags temporarily.
This lamp comes on for
a few seconds when you
turn on the ignition, then
goes off. This lamp should go off when the engine is
started.
If it does not go off, contact a CITROËN dealer or
a q u a l i fi e d w o r k s h o p .

MONOCHROME SCREEN A
Displays on the screen
This displays the following information:
- time,
- date,
- a m b i e n t t e m p e r a t u r e ( t h i s fl a s h e s i f there is a risk of ice),
- status of the doors and boot,
- audio sources (radio, CD...),
- trip computer (refer to the "Instru- ments and Controls" section).
Warning messages (e.g.: "Emission
control system faulty") or information
messages (e.g.: "Boot open") may ap-
pear temporarily. These can be cleared
by pressing the "ESC" button. Controls
From the control panel of your Audio
system, you can:
press the "MENU" button to gain
access to the main menu ,
press the " " or " " buttons to scroll
through the items on the screen,
press the "MODE" button to change
the permanent application (date, au-
dio source...),
press the " " or " " buttons to
change a setting value,
press the "OK" b u t t o n t o c o n fi r m ,
or
press the "ESC" button to abandon
the operation in progress. Main menu
Press the "MENU" button to gain
access to the main menu , then
press the " " or " " buttons to
scroll through the various menus:
- radio-CD,
- v e h i c l e c o n fi g u r a t i o n ,
- options,
- display settings,
- languages,
- units.
Press the "OK" button to select the
menu required.
Radio-CD
With the Audio system switched on,
once the "Radio-CD" menu has been
selected you can activate or deacti-
vate the functions linked with use of the
radio (RDS, REG), or the CD (introscan,
s h u f fl e , C D r e p e a t ) .

tem part of the "Audio and Telematics"

Displays on the screen
This displays the following information:
- time,
- date,
- a m b i e n t t e m p e r a t u r e ( t h i s fl a s h e s i f there is a risk of ice),
- status of doors and boot,
- audio sources (radio, CD, USB port, jack socket etc.),
- trip computer (refer to the "Instruments and controls" section).
Warning messages (E.g. "Emisions
control system faulty") or information
messages (E.g.: Automatic headlamps
active") may appear temporarily. These
can be cleared by pressing the "ESC"

With the Audio system switched on,
once this menu has been selected you
can activate or deactivate the functions
linked with use of the radio (RDS, REG,
R a d i o T e x t ) , t h e C D ( i n t r o s c a n , s h u f fl e ,
CD repeat) or the MP3 player (USB
port/jack socket).

REMOTE CONTROL KEY
System which permits central unlock-
ing or locking of the vehicle using the
lock or from a distance. It is also used to
locate and start the vehicle, as well as
providing protection against theft.
Unlocking the vehicle
Unfolding the key
First press this button to unfold
the key.
Unlocking using the remote control
Press the open padlock to
unlock the vehicle. Unlocking using the key
Turn the key to the right in the driv-
er’s door lock to unlock the vehicle.
Locking the vehicle
Locking using the remote control
Press the closed padlock
to lock the vehicle.
Locking using the key
Turn the key to the left in the driver’s
door lock to lock the vehicle com-
pletely. If one of the doors or the boot
is still open, the central locking
does not take place.
When the vehicle is locked, if it
is unlocked inadvertently, it will
relock automatically after thirty
seconds unless a door or the
boot is open.
The folding and unfolding of the
door mirrors using the remote
control can be deactivated by a
CITROËN dealer.

ALARM
System which protects and provides a
deterrent against the theft of your vehi-
cle. It provides two types of protection,
e x t e r i o r a n d i n t e r i o r , a s w e l l a s a s e l f -
protection function.
Exterior perimeter protection
The system detects opening of the ve-
hicle.
The alarm is triggered if anyone tries to
enter the vehicle by forcing a door, the
boot or the bonnet.
Interior volumetric protection
The system detects any variation in the
volume in the passenger compartment.
The alarm is triggered if anyone breaks
a window or moves inside the vehicle.
If you wish to leave a pet in the vehicle
or a window partially open, deactivate
the interior volumetric protection.
Self-protection function
The system detects the putting out of
service of its components.
The alarm is triggered if anyone tries
to put the wires of the siren, the central
control or the battery out of service. D o n o t m a k e a n y m o d i fi c a t i o n s
to the alarm system, this could
cause malfunctions. Locking the vehicle with full
alarm
Activation
Switch off the ignition and get out of
the vehicle.
Lock or deadlock the vehicle using
the locking button on the remote
control.
The alarm is activated; the indicator lamp
in button A fl a s h e s o n c e p e r s e c o n d .
T h e e x t e r i o r p e r i m e t e r p r o t e c t i o n i s a c t i -
vated, 5 seconds after the locking button
on the remote control is pressed.
The interior volumetric protection is acti-
vated, 45 seconds after the locking button
on the remote control is pressed.
Deactivation
Unlock the vehicle using the unlock-
ing button on the remote control.
The alarm is deactivated; the indicator
lamp in button A goes off.
If an opening - door or boot -
is not closed fully, the vehicle
i s n o t l o c k e d , b u t t h e e x t e r i o r
perimeter protection will be ac-
tivated after 45 seconds at the
same time as the interior volu-
metric protection.

Locking the vehicle with exterior
perimeter protection only
Deactivation of the interior
volumetric protection
Switch off the ignition.
Within ten seconds, press button A
until the indicator lamp is on continu-
ously.
Get out of the vehicle.
Lock or deadlock the vehicle without
delay using the locking button on
the remote control.
T h e e x t e r i o r p e r i m e t e r p r o t e c t i o n a l o n e
remains activated; the indicator lamp in
button A fl a s h e s o n c e p e r s e c o n d .
To be effective, this deactiva-
tion must be carried out each
time the ignition is switched off.
Reactivation of the interior
volumetric protection
Unlock the vehicle using the unlock-
ing button on the remote control.
Relock the vehicle using the remote
control.
The alarm is activated again with both
types of protection; the indicator lamp in
button A fl a s h e s o n c e p e r s e c o n d . Triggering of the alarm
This is indicated by sounding of the si-
r e n a n d fl a s h i n g o f t h e d i r e c t i o n i n d i c a -
t o r s f o r a p p r o x i m a t e l y t h i r t y s e c o n d s .
After it has been triggered, both types of
protection are again operational.
Failure of the remote control
Unlock the vehicle using the key in
the driver’s door lock.
Open the door; the alarm is trig-
gered.
Switch on the ignition; the alarm
stops.
If the alarm is triggered ten times
in succession, the eleventh time
will result in it becoming inactive.
If the indicator lamp in button A
fl a s h e s r a p i d l y , t h i s i n d i c a t e s
that the alarm was triggered
during your absence. When
the ignition is switched on, this
fl a s h i n g s t o p s i m m e d i a t e l y .
To avoid triggering the alarm
when washing your vehicle, lock
it using the key in the driver’s
door lock.
Locking the vehicle without
activating the alarm
Lock or deadlock the vehicle using
the key in the driver’s door lock.
Malfunction
When the ignition is switched on, illumi-
nation of the indicator lamp in button A
for ten seconds indicates malfunction
with the siren.
Have it checked by a CITROËN dealer
o r a q u a l i fi e d w o r k s h o p .

Automatic activation *
2 minutes after the last door or the boot
is closed, the alarm is activated auto-
matically.
To avoid triggering the alarm on
e n t e r i n g t h e v e h i c l e , fi r s t p r e s s t h e
unlocking button on the remote
control.

Manual centralised control
System which provides full manual
locking or unlocking of the doors from
the inside.
Locking
Press button A to lock the vehicle.
The red indicator lamp on the button
comes on.
If one of the doors is open, cen-
tral locking from the inside does
not take place.
Unlocking
Press button A again to unlock the
vehicle.
The red indicator lamp on the button
switches off. If the vehicle is locked from the
outside, the red indicator lamp
fl a s h e s a n d b u t t o n
A is inactive.
In this case, use the remote
control or the key to unlock
the vehicle.
Automatic centralised control
System which provides full automatic
locking or unlocking of the doors and
the boot while driving.
You can activate or deactivate this func-
tion.
Locking
W h e n t h e s p e e d e x c e e d s 6 m p h
(10 km/h), the doors and the boot lock
automatically. If one of the doors is open, the
automatic central locking does
not take place.
If the boot is open, the automatic
central locking of the doors is
active.
Unlocking
Above 6 mph (10 km/h), press but-
ton A to unlock the doors and the
boot temporarily. Activation
Press button A for more than
two seconds.

Emergency control
To lock or unlock the doors manually in
the event of a malfunction of the central
locking system or failure of the battery.
Locking the driver’s door
Insert the key in the lock, then turn it
to the left.
Unlocking the driver’s door
Insert the key in the lock, then turn it
to the right.
Locking the front and rear
passenger doors
Remove the black cap, located on
the edge of the door, using the key.
Insert the key in the recess, then
turn it as far as it will go.

On the rear doors, check that the
child lock is not activated. Unlocking the front and rear
passenger doors
Pull the interior door opening con-
trol.
BOOT
Opening
After unlocking the vehicle using the
remote control or the key, pull the
handle and raise the tailgate.
Closing
Lower the tailgate using the interior
grab handle. -
when the engine is running

this warning lamp comes on,
accompanied by a message
on the multifunction screen for
a few seconds,
- when the vehicle is moving (speed
above 6 mph (10 km/h)), this warn-
ing lamp comes on, accompanied
by an audible signal and a message
on the multifunction screen for a few
seconds.
Tailgate release
System for mechanical unlocking of the
boot in the event of a battery or central
locking malfunction.
Unlocking
Fold back the rear benchseat to
gain access to the lock from inside
the boot.
Insert a small screwdriver into hole A
of the lock to unlock the tailgate.
If the tailgate is not closed correctly:

road users, the height of the headlamps
should be adjusted in relation to the load
in the vehicle.

HEADLAMP ADJUSTMENT Coupling with the automatic
"Guide-me-home" lighting
Association with the automatic illumination
of headlamps provides "guide-me-home"
lighting with the following additional op-
tions:
- selection of the lighting duration to
15, 30 or 60 seconds in the vehi-
cle parameters in the multifunction
s c r e e n c o n fi g u r a t i o n m e n u ( e x c e p t
in the case of the monochrome
screen A, for which the duration is
s e t : 6 0 s e c o n d s ) ,
- automatic activation of "guide-me- home" lighting when automatic
illumination of headlamps is in ope-
ration.
Operating fault In fog or snow, the sunshine sen-
s o r m a y d e t e c t s u f fi c i e n t l i g h t .
Therefore, the lighting will not
come on automatically.
Do not cover the sunshine sen-
sor, coupled with the rain sensor
and located in the centre of the
windscreen behind the rear view
mirror; the associated functions
would no longer be controlled.
In the event of a fault with
the sunshine sensor, the
lighting come on, this warn-
ing lamp is displayed in the instrument
panel and/or a message appears in the
multifunction screen, accompanied by
an audible signal.
