PRACTICAL INFORMATION List of operations

 Put the wheel in place on the hub
using the centring guide 4 .

 Screw in the bolts by hand as far as
possible.

 Pre-tighten the security bolt (if your ve-
hicle has them) using the wheelbrace

1 fi tted with the security socket 5 .

 Pre-tighten the other bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 only.

 Lower the vehicle fully.

 Fold the jack 2 and detach it.
After changing a wheel
To store the punctured wheel in
the boot correctly, fi rst remove the
central cover.
When using the "space-saver"
type spare wheel, do not exceed
50 mph (80 km/h).
Have the tightening of the bolts
and the pressure of the spare
wheel checked by a CITROËN
dealer without delay.
Have the punctured wheel repaired
and replace it on the vehicle as
soon as possible.
Refitting the wheel

 Tighten the security bolt (if your vehicle
has them) using the wheelbrace 1 fi t-
ted with the security socket 5 .

 Tighten the other bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 only.

 Refi t the chromed bolt covers on
each of the bolts (with alloy wheels
only).

 Store the tools in the box.

CHANGING A BULB
Procedure for replacing a faulty bulb
with a new bulb.
1. Direction indicators
(H21W amber).

2. Dipped
beam
headlamps
(H7-55W).

3. Main beam headlamps (H1-55W).

4. Sidelamps
(W5W).

5. Foglamps
(PSX24W).
The headlamps are fi tted with poly-
carbonate glass with a protective
coating:

 do not clean them using a dry
or abrasive cloth, nor with a
detergent or solvent product,

 use a sponge and soapy water,

 when using a high pressure
washer on persistent marks, do
not direct at the lamps or their
outlines for too long, so as not
to damage their protective coat-
ing and seals. Front lamps

 Do not touch the bulb directly
with your fi ngers, use lint-free
cloths.
Changing a bulb should only be
done after the headlamp has been
switched off for a few minutes (risk
of serious burns).
It is imperative to use only anti-
ultraviolet (UV) type bulbs in order
not to damage the headlamp.
Always replace a failed bulb with a
new bulb with the same type and
specifi cation.

Changing direction indicator bulbs
Amber coloured bulbs, such as
the direction indicators, must be
replaced with bulbs of identical
specifi cations and colour.

 Remove the plastic protective cover.

 Pull the bulb-holder and replace the
bulb.
To refi t, carry out these operations in
reverse order.
When refi tting, close the plastic
cover carefully to ensure the sealing
of the headlamp. If either of the direction indicator
warning lamps is fl ashing quickly,
one of the bulbs is faulty.
Changing main beam headlamp
bulbs

 Remove the protective plastic cover
by pulling on the tab.

 Disconnect the bulb connector.

 Move the springs to release the bulb.

 Remove the bulb and change it.
To refi t, carry out these operations in
reverse order.
Changing sidelamp bulbs

 Remove the protective plastic cover
by pulling on the tab.

 Pull the bulb-holder.

 Remove the bulb and replace it.
To refi t, carry out these operations in
reverse order.
Changing dipped headlamp bulbs

 Remove the protective plastic cover
by pulling on the tab.

 Turn the bulb-holder by a quarter
turn.

 Remove the bulb and change it.
To refi t, carry out these operations in
reverse order.

Changing integrated direction
indicator side repeaters
Contact a CITROËN dealer to obtain
replacement repeaters.

 Insert a screwdriver on the edge of
the repeater.

 Tilt the screwdriver to extract the
repeater and remove it.

 Disconnect the repeater connector.
When removing:
- be careful not to damage the paintwork of your vehicle with the screwdriver,
- do not allow the wire and the con- nector to slide inside the wing.
To refi t, carry out these operations in re-
verse order.
If you experience any diffi culty
in replacing bulbs, contact your
CITROËN dealer. Changing front foglamp bulbs
To obtain them, contact your CITROËN
dealer.

 Remove the grille located under the
foglamp.

 Disconnect the bulb holder connector,
by pressing on the tab.


Remove the bulb-holber by pressing on
the 2 clips (at the top and the bottom).
To refi t, carry out these operations in
reverse order.
If you experience any diffi culty
in replacing bulbs, contact your
CITROËN dealer.

Rear lamps

1. Brake
lamps/sidelamps
(12VP21/5W).

2. Foglamp, right-hand side
(PR21W)
Reversing lamp, left-hand side
(P21W).

3. Direction indicators (P21W) Changing brake lamp/sidelamp and
direction indicator bulbs

 unscrew the two lamp fi xing bolts,

 extract the light carefully pulling it
straight out,
 turn the bulb holder a quarter turn,

 remove the faulty bulb and replace it.
To refi t, carry out these operations in
reverse order.

Changing foglamp/reversing lamp
bulbs

 open the boot,


press on the tabs using 2 screwdrivers,

 disconnect the lamp connector,

 turn the bulb holder by a quarter turn,

 remove the bulb and replace it.
To refi t, carry out these operations in re-
verse order. Changing the third brake lamp bulbs
(4 W5W bulbs)

 open the boot,

 remove the two plugs located on the
boot inner panel,

 press on the body of the lamp with
2 screwdrivers to remove it from its
housing,

 turn the corresponding bulb-holder
a quarter turn,

 pull the bulb and replace it.
To refi t, carry out these operations in re-
verse order. Changing the number plate lamp
bulbs (W5W)

 insert a thin screwdriver into one of
the lens’ exterior holes,

 push it outwards to unclip,

 remove the lens,

 pull the bulb and replace it.
To refi t, carry out these operations in re-
verse order.

Interior lighting
Interior lamps (1/W5W)
Detach the cover of the interior lamp 1 with
a thin screwdriver, close to the button, to
access the faulty bulb.
Map reading lamps (2/W5W)
Detach the cover of the interior lamp. To
access the faulty bulb, detach the parti-
tion for the reading lamp 2 concerned,
as necessary. Footwell lamps (W5W)
Unclip the cover using a thin screw-
driver to access the faulty bulb.
Boot lamps (W5W)
Detach the unit by pushing it rear-
wards. Torch (Krypton 3.6V)

 Open the tab.

 Push with a fl at screwdriver in the
hole under the tab and recover the
bulb unit.

 Open the bulb unit fully to change
the bulb.
Door mirror lamps (W5W)
Unclip the cover using a thin screw-
driver to access the faulty bulb.

repairing your vehicle or for recti-
fying malfunctions resulting from
the installation of accessories not
supplied and not recommended
by CITROËN and not installed in
accordance with its instructions,
in particular when the combined
consumption of all of the addition-
al equipment connected exceeds
10 milliamperes.
Installing electrical accessories
Your vehicle’s electrical system is
designed to operate with standard
or optional equipment.
Before installing other electrical
equipment or accessories on your
vehicle, contact a CITROËN dealer.
CHANGING A FUSE
Procedure for replacing a failed fuse
with a new fuse to rectify a failure of the
corresponding function.
Access to the tools
The extraction tweezer and the spare
fuse storage compartment are installed
on the back of the dashboard fusebox
cover.
For access to them:

 Open the glove box,

 unclip the fuse access cover by pulling
on the side,

 remove the cover completely,

 remove the tweezer. Changing a fuse
Before changing a fuse, the cause of
the failure must be identifi ed and recti-
fi ed.

 Identify the failed fuse by checking
the condition of its fi lament.

 Use the special tweezer to extract
the fuse from its housing.

 Always replace the faulty fuse with a
fuse of the same rating.

 Check that the number marked on
the fusebox, the rating marked on
the fuse and the following tables all
agree.
