2-position adjustable boot

This adjustable boot floor with two positions
allows you to:


- maximise the volume of the boot,

- par tition the boot
(storing of the rear parcel shelf...),

- obtain a flat floor from the boot opening to
the front seats, when the rear bench seat is
in the folded and fully back position.

Push the exterior safety catch B
to the leftand raise the bonnet.
)
Unclip the stay C
from its housing. )
Fix the stay in the notch to hold the bonnet open.


Closing
)Take the stay out of the support notch.)Clip the stay in its housing. )Lower the bonnet and release it at the end of its travel. )Pull on the bonnet to check that it is secured correctly.
)Open the front left door.)Pull the interior bonnet release lever A , located at the bottom of the door aper ture.
Opening
Before doing anything under the bonnet,
switch off the Stop & Star t system toavoid any risk of injury resulting from anautomatic change to START mode.

The location of the interior bonnetrelease lever prevents opening of the bonnet while the front left door is closed.

Do not open the bonnet in high winds.

When the engine is hot, handle theexterior safety catch and the bonnet stay with care (risk of burns).

Running out of fuel
(Diesel)
)Fill the fuel tank with at least five litres of
Diesel.)Open the bonnet. )Depending on version, unclip the cover togain access to the priming pump.)Squeeze and release the priming pump
until resistance is felt (could be from thefirst application) and fuel appears in the
transparent pipe with the green connector. )Operate the star ter until the engine star ts.)Depending on version, put the cover back
in position and clip it in place.)Close the bonnet.

If the engine does not star t at the firstattempt, do not try again. Operate the priming pump again, thenthe starter. I
f your vehicle is fitted with an HDI engine, the
fuel system must be primed if you run out of
fuel.
This system consists of a priming pump and a
transparent pipe under the bonnet.

Battery


Access to the battery
Starting using another
battery
)Connect the red cable to the positive
terminal (+) of the flat battery A , then to the positive terminal (+) of the slave battery B.)Connect one end of the green or blackcable to the negative terminal (-) of the slave battery B . )Connect the other end of the green or black cable to the remote negative terminal (-) of your vehicle .)Start the slave vehicle.)Operate the star ter of the broken down
vehicle and let the engine run.
)Wait until the engine returns to idle anddisconnect the cables. The batter
y is located under the bonnet.
To gain access to it:)
open the bonnet using the interior releaselever, then the exterior safety catch, )
secure the bonnet stay, )
lift the plastic cover on the (+) terminal.

The presence of this label, in particular with the Stop & Star t system, indicatesthe use of a 12 V lead-acid battery withspecial technology and specification;the involvement of a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop is essential when replacing or disconnecting thebattery.
Failure to observe this recommendation may cause premature wear of thebattery.


After refitting the battery by a CITROËNdealer or a qualified workshop, theStop & Start system will only beactive after a continuous period of immobilisation of the vehicle, a period which depends on the climatic conditions and the state of charge of thebattery (up to about 8 hours).
