Rear seat belts
The rear seats are each fitted with a three-point
seat belt, with force limiter
and,
for
the
outer
seats,
an
ef
fort
limiter
.
Fastening

Pull
the
strap,
then
insert
the
tongue
in
the buckle.

seat
belt
is
fastened
correctly
by pulling the strap.

red, accompanied
by
an
audible
signal
and
a message
in
the
screen,
if
a
rear
passen
-
ger
has unfastened their seat belt.
From
approximately
12
mph
(20
km/h),
this
warning
lamp
flashes
for
two
minutes accompanied
by
an
audible
signal
of
in
-
creasing
volume.
Once
these
two
minutes have
elapsed,
this
warning
lamp
remains on
until
the
one
or
more
rear
passengers fasten
their seat belt.

Lateral airbags
System which protects the driver and front
passenger in the event of a seri -
ous
side
impact
in
order
to
limit
the
risk
of
injury
to
the
chest,
between
the
hip
and
the shoulder.

lateral
airbag
is
fitted
in
the
seat
backrest
frame, door side.
Deployment
A
lateral
airbag
is
deployed
unilaterally
in the
event
of
a
serious
side
impact
applied to
all
or
part
of
the
side
impact
zone B,
perpendicular
to
the
longitudinal
cen

treline
of
the
vehicle
on
a
horizontal
plane and
directed
from
the
outside
towards
the inside
of the vehicle.
The
lateral
airbag
inflates
between
the
hip
and
shoulder
of
the
front
occupant
of
the
vehicle
and
the
corresponding
door

Operation
Depending on the driving situation and your
vehicle's equipment, the system
may
advise
you
to
skip
one
(or
more)
gear(s).
Y
ou
can
follow
this
instruc
-
tion
without
engaging
the
intermediate
gears.
The
gear
engagement
recommenda
-
tions
must
not
be
considered
compulso
-
ry.
In
fact,
the
configuration
of
the
road,
the
amount
of
traffic
and
safety
remain
determining
factors
when
choosing
the
best
gear
.
Therefore,
the
driver
remains
responsible
for
deciding
whether
or
not
to
follow
the
advice
given
by
the
sys
-
tem.
This
function cannot be deactivated.-

you
engage

appears

system

gear

the
system

manual

BLIND SPOT SENSORS
This driving assistance system warns the
driver of the presence of another
vehicle
in
the
blind
spot
angle
of
their
vehicle
(areas
masked
from
the
driver's
field
of
vision),
as
soon
as
this
presents
a
potential danger.
Operation
F On switching on the ignition, or en -
gine running, press this button to
activate
the
function;
the
warning
lamp
comes on.
This
system
is
designed
to
im
-
prove
safety
when
driving
and
is
in
no
circumstances
a
substitute
for
the use of the interior rear
view
mirror
and
door
mirrors.
It
is
the
driver's
responsibility
to
constantly
check
the
traffic,
to
asses
the
distances
and
relative
speeds
of
other
vehicles
and
to
predict
their
movements
before
deciding
whether
to
change
lane.
The
blind
spot
sensor
system
can
never
replace
the
need
for
vigilance
on
the
part
of
the
driver
. Sensors
fitted
in
the
front
and
rear
bum
-
pers
monitor the blind spots.
A warning
lamp
appears
in
the
door
mirror
on
the
side
in
question:
-
immediately
,
when
being
overtaken,
-
after
a
delay
of
about
one
second,
when
overtaking
a
vehicle
slowly.

LIMITER
The speed limiter cannot, in any circumstances,
replace the need
to
respect
speed
limits,
nor
can
it
replace
the
need
for
vigilance
on
the
part of the driver. The
functions

this
system
are
grouped
together

steering
mounted
controls.

Operation

it
requires
a
programmed
speed
of
at least 20 mph (30 km/h).
The

switched off
by
manual
operation of the control.
The

can
be

by

the
accelerator

resistance.

Operation

the

pump
repeatedly
until
resistance

felt
(there

resistance
at
the

starter
until

engine
starts

not
start
at
the
first
attempt,
wait
around
15 seconds
before trying again).

If
the
engine
does
not
start
after

pump

Refit

cover

fuel

primed

tank

fitted
with

misfuel
prevention
device,
refer
to
the
"Misfuel
prevention
(Diesel)"
section.
