Fuel tank (60 litres)
Press on control A located on the control panel to the left of the dashboard. The fuel ﬂ ap automati-cally opens up fully.
Insert the nozzle so as to push in the metallic gate valve B.
Push the fuel ﬂ ap to reclose it.
After switching off the ignition, control A is only active for a few Aminutes. If necessary, switch on the ignition again to reactivate it.
Bonnet stay : detach the stay and pivot it upwards to insert it into the notch.
To close : move the stay back to its initial position, lower the bonnet until it is horizontal, then allow it to slam shut.
Bonnet opening/closing
To unlock, pull the control locat-ed under the dashboard towards you.
Opening
Using the multifunction screen, you can choose from the following options when opening your vehi-cle with the remote control :
- either all of the doors and the tailgate,
- or the driver’s door with a ﬁ rst press, then all of the other doors with a second press.

Guide-me-home lighting
A press on button C operates the guide-me-home lighting (lighting of the sidelamps, dipped beams, number plate lamps and side light-ers (located underneath the exte-rior rear view mirrors).
A second press before the end of the timing cancels the guide-me-home lighting.
Vehicle location
To locate the vehicle on a carpark, press button A. The location of the vehicle is revealed by :
- the ﬂ ashing of the direction indi-cators and side repeaters for a few seconds,
- the lighting of the interior lamps for around 30 seconds,
- the lighting of the side lighters.
The vehicle remains locked.
Foldaway and ejection of the key
Button D folds the key in and out of its housing in the remote control.
If you do not press on button D, you could damage the mechanism.
Simultaneous use of other high frequency equipment (mobile tele-phones, domestic alarms, etc.) may interfere temporarily with the opera-tion of the remote control. If it malfunctions on a permanent basis, you must re-initialise the remote control.
Except for re-initialisation, the remote control cannot function while the key is in the ignition, even with the ignition switched off.
Be aware that an inadvertent manipulation of the remote con trol in your pocket could cause the vehicle doors to unlock without your knowl -edge.
However, if no door is opened within thirty seconds following an unlock-ing, the doors will automatically relock.
Warning : there is a risk of damage if the replacement battery is not in conformity.

Remote control battery spent
This information is given by a message on the multifunction screen, accompa-nied by a sound signal and the lighting of the SERVICE warning lamp.
Changing the remote control battery
Detach the housing to access the battery.
Battery : CR 0523, 3V.
Re-initialising the remote control
After a change of battery, it is necessary to re-initialise the remote control. For that, switch on the ignition and immediately press butto n A on your remote control until the action desired is triggered. This manœ uvre may take some ten seconds.
Note : Make a careful note of the numbers for your keys and remote con-trol on the ASSISTANCE card. Keep this in a safe place.
Do not throw away spent batteries. Return them to a CITROËN dealer or to an approved collection point (photo shops, etc.).

It informs you when the next routine service is due in accordance with the vehicle servicing schedule in the Maintenance Guide. This information is dependent on tw o parameters: the mileage covered, and the time elapsed since the last visit.
Operation
When the ignition is switched on a for a few seconds, the spanner symbolising maintenance opera-tions lights up ; the total mileage recorder display tells you the dis-tance remaining to the next serv-ice (in thousands and hundreds of kilometres, or miles).
Example : before the next service you can still travel :
Operation if the distance remaining to the next service is less than 1 000 km (approx. 600 miles)
Each time you switch on the igni-tion and for 5 seconds, the symbol and the distance ﬂ ash.
Example : There remain up to the next service : 900 km (or miles).
On switching on the ignition and for 5 seconds, the instrument pan-el indicates :
Operation if the service interval has been exceeded
Each time you switch on the igni-tion, the spanner and the mileage covered (preceded by a minus) beyond the recommended interval ﬂ ash.
Example : You have passed the service interval by 300 km (or miles).The routine service on your vehi-cle needs to be carried as soon as possible.
A few seconds after that, the total mileage recorder display appears.After a few seconds, the total mile-age indicator is displayed and the spanner remains lit.
A few seconds after switching on the ignition, the total mileage re-corder resumes its normal role and the spanner remains lit up.

To activate/deactivate the automatic guide-me-home lighting :
1. Press on O.
2. Use J or M to select the sub-menu for conﬁ guration of your vehicle, then conﬁ rm your choice with a press on L.
3. Select guide-me-home lighting, by pressing J or M.
4. The system tells you whether the function status is active or inactive. Modify this status with a press on K or N.
5. Validate with a press on L.
To activate/deactivate the electronic parking brake automatic functions :
1. Press on O.
2. Use J or M to select the sub-menu for conﬁ guration of your vehicle, then conﬁ rm your choice with a press on L.
3. Select electronic automatic parking brake by pressing J or M.
4. The system tells you whether the function status is active or in active. Modify this status with a press on K or N.
5. Validate with a press on L.
PERSONALISATION and CONFIGURATION
To activate/deactivate rear screen wipe when you engage reverse gear :
1. Press on O.
2. Use J or M to select the sub-menu for personalisation-con-ﬁ guration of your vehicle, then conﬁ rm your choice with a press on L.

4. The system tells you whether the function status is active or inactive. Modify this status with a press on K or N.

Main Menu
Press on the button O to view the "Main Menu" of the multifunction screen. This menu gives you ac-cess to the following functions :
It is recommended that the driver should not manipulate the controls described below while the vehicle is in motion.
1 - Time
2 - Outside temperature
3 - Date and display zone
When the outside temperature is between +3 °C and -3 °C, the dis-play of temperature ﬂ ashes (ice risk).Radio-CD

Trip computer, for :
- Entering the distance to your destination
- Access to the log of alerts (recall of alerts signalled previously)
- Access to the status of functions, such as automatic headlamps and windscreen wipe.
Personalisation -Conﬁ guration, for activating/deactivating :
- operation of the rear wiper
- automatic guide-me-home lighting- Xenon dual-function directional headlamps
- electronic parking brake automatic functions (application / release)
- door selectivity
- lighting of daytime-running lampsand for choosing :- brightness intensity, time, date and units
- the display language

Note : The outside temperature displayed may be greater than the actual temperature if the vehicle is parked in bright sunlight.

PERSONALISATION and
CONFIGURATION
To activate/deactivate rear screen wipe when you engage reverse gear :
1. Press on O.
2. Use J or M to select "Person-alisation-Conﬁ guration", then conﬁ rm your choice with a press on L.
3. Then select the sub-menu for vehicle parameters. Conﬁ rm your choice with a press on L.
4. Using J or M, select "park-ing assistance". Conﬁ rm your choice with a press on L.
5. Then by pressing L, select/deselect triggering of rear screen wipe in reverse gear, to activate/deactivate this.
6. Validate with "OK" on the dis-play.
TRIP COMPUTER
To enter the distance to be travelled in the trip computer :
1. Press on O.
2. Use J or M to select the icon for the trip computer, then con-ﬁ rm your choice with a press on L.
3. Press J or M to select entry of distance. Conﬁ rm your choice with a press on L.
4. To choose the distance, select the ﬁ gure you wish to modify via J or M, then conﬁ rm your choice with a press on L.
5. Using J or M, adjust the value then validate with a press on L.
6. Validate with "OK" on the dis-play.
To access the log of alerts in the trip computer:
1. Press on O.
2. Use J or M to select the icon for the trip computer, then con-ﬁ rm your choice with a press on L.
3. Select the log of alerts.
4. When you see the list displayed, scroll down using J or M.
5. Press on H, to return to the permanent display.
To access the status of functions, proceed in a similar manner.
To activate/deactivate the automatic guide-me-home lighting :
1. Press on O.
2. Use J or M to select "Person-alisation-Conﬁ guration", then conﬁ rm your choice with a press on L.
3. Then select the sub-menu for vehicle parameters. Conﬁ rm your choice with a press on L.
4. Using J or M, select "lighting and signalling". Conﬁ rm your choice with a press on L.
5. Then by pressing L, select/deselect "guide-me-home lighting" to activate/deactivate this. After activation, choose its duration : press on L, then use J or M to select the dura-tion and then press on L.
6. Validate with "OK" on the dis-play.

Direction indicators
Left : downwards.
Right : upwards.
For a change of direction, operate the control stalk to go beyond the “tight spot”. It will revert automati-cally to its initial position with the return of the steering wheel.
Headlamp ﬂ ash
Pull the control stalk towards you.
The headlamp ﬂ ash is possible even with the ignition switched off.
Horn
Press at the lower part of the ﬁ xed centred controls steering wheel.
Emergency activation of the hazard warning lamps
A heavy deceleration of the vehi-cle will cause the hazard lamps to activate automatically.
They will cease automatically on reacceleration of the vehicle or manually if you press on the hazard lamps button on the dashboard.
Driving with the hazard lamps activated renders the direction indicators inoperational.
Distress signal
The distress signal operates all the direction indicators simultaneously.
Only make use of this in a situa-tion of danger, for an emergency stop or if you ﬁ nd yourself driving in exceptional weather conditions.
The distress signal will operate even with the ignition switched off.
S I G N A L L I N G
Sound signal for vehicle lamps left on
With the ignition switched off, the signal will activate when the driv-er’s door is opened, to indicate that lamps have been left on.
It will cease when the door is closed, the lamps switched off, or the ignition switched on again.
This signal is inactive if the auto-matic lighting of headlamps and /or the guide-me-home lighting are activated.

FRONT AND REAR FOGLAMPS (Ring A)
In foggy conditions, if the ambient brightness is not such as to activate the automatic lighting, it is up to you to switch on your dipped beams manually, along with your foglamps as necessary.
These operate in conjunction with the sidelamps, the dipped beams or the main beams.
Headlamps adjustment
Depending on the vehicle load, it is recommended that you correct the height of your headlamp beams.
On the dashboard beside the driver :
0 Unladen
1 Partial load
2 Medium load
3 Full load.
Note : Vehicles equipped with Xenon dual-function directional headlamps have an automatic adjustment of headlamps depending on load.
For a vehicle equipped with rear foglamps :
- 1st turn forwards : lighting of rear foglamps.
- 1st turn rearwards: extinction of rear foglamps.
For a vehicle equipped with front and rear foglamps:
- 1st turn forwards: lighting of front foglamps.
- 2nd turn forwards: lighting of rear foglamps.
- 1st turn rearwards: extinction of rear foglamps.
- 2nd turn rearwards: extinction of front foglamps.
Note : Foglamps should be used only in conditions of fog or snowfall.
GUIDE-ME-HOME LIGHTING
With the ignition off, this func-tion temporarily switches on your headlamps to give you exterior lighting when you are leaving your vehicle.
This function is activated :

Sensors
The automatic regulation of the air conditioning inside the cabin uses a number of sensors that relieve you of the need to make adjust-ments outside the displayed tem-perature.
Be careful not to obstruct the sun-light sensor located on the dash-board.
Air inlet
Check that the exterior grille for the air inlet, at the bottom of the windscreen, is clean and free of dead leaves, snow, etc.
Air vents
The air vents to the face have grilles and thumbwheels so that you can adjust the air ﬂ ow and direction (up-down, right-left).
Air circulation
Air vents on the ﬂ oor underneath the front seats provide enhanced heating for the rear seat positions : take care not to obstruct them.
Dust ﬁ lter / odour ﬁ lter (active carbon)
There is a ﬁ lter for excluding odours and dust.
This ﬁ lter has to be changed in accordance with the vehicle main-tenance schedule (see the Main-tenance Guide).
Air conditioning
To ensure that your system oper-ates correctly, it is recommended to have it checked regularly.
Water arising from condensation in the air conditioning drains away through a hole provided for this purpose. A pool of water may thus form under the vehicle when sta-tionary.
To keep the air conditioning com-pressor well sealed, it is essential to operate the air conditioning at least once in every month.
To be effective, the air condition-ing should only be used with the windows closed.
If after a lengthy stop in bright sunlight the interior temperature is excessive, ventilate the passen-ger compartment by opening the windows for a few moments, then close them again.
The air conditioning operates by using power from the engine. This results in a slight increase in fuel consumption.
