TO FOLD THE SEATS
From outside
- Pull fi rmly upwards on strap C, as indicated by the red arrow, to unlock the seat ; maintain the pressure until the seat is fully folded.
From the boot - whilst loading, for example (Grand C4 Picasso)
Having fi rstly folded the third-row seats.- Pull on control D to unlock the required seat.
TO RETURN THE SEATS TO
THE UPRIGHT POSITION
Return the rigid plates of the second-row seats to their initial (upright) posi-tion and lock them in position (Grand C4 Picasso).
Raise the backrest and push it back-wards until it locks in position.
RIGID PLATE (Grand C4 Picasso)
A rigid plate is attached to each second-row seat backrest.
To unlock / lock the rigid plate :
- Slide latch A of the plate down-wards, to unlock it.
- Return the plate to the upright position, then slide latch A up-wards to lock it.
Note : Before deploying the rigid plates, check that the second-row seats are slid as far back as pos-sible.
Requirements for third-row passenger seat belts Take care to attach the third-row passenger seat belts on the rings provided for this purpose.Do not attach the belts on the anchoring points marked with a red cross (see illustration above).

Adjusting the seat belt height
To adjust the seat belt, pinch the control and slide it in the direction required.
Electric windows controls
From the driver’s seat position, the controls located on the door enable the electric windows to be controlled.
Sliding sun visors
- Slide the blind on the visor to the desired position by pushing the area A.
The blinds are extended on the sun visor struts.
- Fold the visor downwards, to protect against being dazzled.
Panoramic glass roof blind
Opening (positions 1 to 9)
Closing (position 0)
The blind has an anti-pinch de-vice.

Main Menu
Press on the button O to view the "Main Menu" of the multifunction screen. This menu gives you ac-cess to the following functions :
It is recommended that the driver should not manipulate the controls described below while the vehicle is in motion.
1 - Time
2 - Outside temperature
3 - Date and display zone
When the outside temperature is between +3 °C and -3 °C, the dis-play of temperature fl ashes (ice risk).Radio-CD

Trip computer, for :
- Entering the distance to your destination
- Access to the log of alerts (recall of alerts signalled previously)
- Access to the status of functions, such as automatic headlamps and windscreen wipe.
Personalisation -Confi guration, for activating/deactivating :

- automatic guide-me-home lighting- Xenon dual-function directional headlamps
- electronic parking brake automatic functions (application / release)
- door selectivity
- lighting of daytime-running lampsand for choosing :- brightness intensity, time, date and units

PERSONALISATION and
CONFIGURATION
To activate/deactivate rear screen wipe when you engage reverse gear :
1. Press on O.
2. Use J or M to select "Person-alisation-Confi guration", then confi rm your choice with a press on L.
3. Then select the sub-menu for vehicle parameters. Confi rm your choice with a press on L.
4. Using J or M, select "park-ing assistance". Confi rm your choice with a press on L.
5. Then by pressing L, select/deselect triggering of rear screen wipe in reverse gear, to activate/deactivate this.
6. Validate with "OK" on the dis-play.
TRIP COMPUTER
To enter the distance to be travelled in the trip computer :
1. Press on O.
2. Use J or M to select the icon for the trip computer, then con-fi rm your choice with a press on L.
3. Press J or M to select entry of distance. Confi rm your choice with a press on L.
4. To choose the distance, select the fi gure you wish to modify via J or M, then confi rm your choice with a press on L.
5. Using J or M, adjust the value then validate with a press on L.
6. Validate with "OK" on the dis-play.
To access the log of alerts in the trip computer:
1. Press on O.
2. Use J or M to select the icon for the trip computer, then con-fi rm your choice with a press on L.
3. Select the log of alerts.
4. When you see the list displayed, scroll down using J or M.
5. Press on H, to return to the permanent display.
To access the status of functions, proceed in a similar manner.
To activate/deactivate the automatic guide-me-home lighting :
1. Press on O.
2. Use J or M to select "Person-alisation-Confi guration", then confi rm your choice with a press on L.
3. Then select the sub-menu for vehicle parameters. Confi rm your choice with a press on L.
4. Using J or M, select "lighting and signalling". Confi rm your choice with a press on L.
5. Then by pressing L, select/deselect "guide-me-home lighting" to activate/deactivate this. After activation, choose its duration : press on L, then use J or M to select the dura-tion and then press on L.
6. Validate with "OK" on the dis-play.

5. Then by pressing L, select the status of the vehicle access as desired.

To activate/deactivate lighting of daytime-running lamps (depending on country) :
1. Press on O.
2. Use J or M to select "Person-alisation-Confi guration", then confi rm your choice with a press on L.
3. Then select the sub-menu for vehicle parameters. Confi rm your choice with a press on L.
4. Using J or M, select "lighting and signalling". Confi rm your choice with a press on L.
5. Then by pressing L, select/deselect "daytime-running lamps" to activate/deactivate the function.
6. Validate with "OK" on the dis-play.
To activate/deactivate the Xenon dual-function directional headlamps :
1. Press on O.2. Use J or M to select "Person-alisation-Confi guration", then confi rm your choice with a press on L.
3. Then select the sub-menu for vehicle parameters. Confi rm your choice with a press on L.4. Using J or M, select “driv-ing assistance”. Confi rm your choice with a press on L.5. Then by pressing L, select/deselect Xenon dual-function directional headlamps to acti-vate/deactivate them.6. Validate with "OK" on the dis-play.

To activate/deactivate the door selectivity :
1. Press on O.

To choose the units :
1. Press on O.
2. Use J or M to select "Person-alisation-Confi guration", then confi rm your choice with a press on L.
3. Select the display confi guration using J or M. Confi rm with a press on L.
4. Then select the sub-menu for units. Confi rm your choice with a press on L.
5. Using J or M, select the unit you wish to modify (Tempera-ture or Consumption), then validate by pressing L.
6. Validate with "OK" on the dis-play.
Note : This choice concerns all the information (Consumption - Speed) appearing on the displays.
To adjust the date and the time :
1. Press on O.
2. Use J or M to select "Person-alisation-Confi guration", then confi rm your choice with a press on L.
3. Select the display confi guration using J or M". Confi rm with a press on L.
4. Select the adjustment for the date and the time, using J or M. Confi rm with a press on L.
5. Press J or M to select the values you wish to modify. Confi rm your choice with a press on L.
6. Make your adjustments by pressing J or M, validating each adjustment choice by pressing L.
7. Validate with "OK" on the dis-play.

EMERGENCY UNLOCKING
In the event of the electronic parking brake malfunctioning o
r the battery running fl at, an emergency manual device can unlock the parking brake.
1. Immobilise the vehicle, with the engine running, by engaging fi rst gear (man-ual gearbox), position P (automatic gearbox) or M or R (6-speed electronic gearbox), then switch off the engine.
Note : if it is impossible to immobilise the vehicle, do not action the control and urgently contact a CITROËN dealer. if it is impossible to immobilise impossible to immobilise
2. Fetch the vehicle blocks and the unlocking device (braided cabl e) from the toolbox (see “Changing a wheel”, paragraph on “Tools”).
3. Immobilise the vehicle by placing blocks at the front and at the rear of one of the rear wheels.
4. Slide the front left-hand seat back as far as possible.
5. Lift up the fl oor plug B in the carpet under the seat.
6. Pierce the tab C on the tube D with the unlocking device.
7. Place the unlocking device in the tube D.
8. Turn the unlocking device clockwise. For safety reasons, it is essentialto continue turning the device as far as it will go or until you hear a knocking noise. The parking brake is released.
9. Remove the unlocking device and store it with the blocks in t he toolbox.
Note : - The operation of the parking brake re-initialises when the ignition is switched off then on again. If the reinitialisation of the parking brake proves impossible, contact a CITROËN dealer.off then on again. If the reinitialisation again. If
- The subsequent time required for application may be longer t han during normal operation.
For safety reasons, after this manoeuvre it is essential to contact a CITROËN dealer urgently to have the plug replaced.Following an emergency unlocking, immobilisation of the vehicle is no longer guaranteed once the manual emergency unlocking has been deployed and the manual control d oes not allow the re-application of your park-ing brake.Take no action, either on control A, or stopping starting the engine while the unlocking device is engaged.Take care not to allow moisture or dust in the proximity of the plug.

For safety, these ma-noeuvres should not be performed while the vehi-cle is in motion.
FRONT SEAT BELTS
Fastening
Pull the belt down in front of you in a steady movement, making sure that it does not become twisted.
Press the fastening into its buckle.
Check that it is properly secured and that the automatic locking mechanism operates correctly by pulling sharply on the belt strap.
The abdominal part of the strap should be positioned as low down as possible in the lap and as tight as possible.
ADJUSTING THE STEERING
WHEEL
The steering wheel can be adjusted for height and reach. WITH THE VEHICLE STATION-ARY, fi rst adjust your seat to the most suitable position, then adjust the position of the steering wheel. Unlock the steering wheel by pulling the control A towards you. AAdjust the position of the steering wheel then lock it by pushing the control fi rmly back into its initial lo-cation.
Note : If you press fi rmly on your steering wheel after locking, a small click may be heard.

The chest part should be posi-tioned if possible in the channel of the shoulder.
Each belt has a reel that adjusts its length automatically to the girth of the seat occupant.
Height adjustment
The correct positioning of the seat belt reel is around mid-shoulder level.
To adjust the belt, pinch the con-trol and slide it in the direction re-quired.
Unfastening
To unfasten the belt, press on the red button in the buckle.
The belt retracts automatically when not in use.
