MAT
Removable component which pro-
tects the carpet against exterior dirt.
Fitting
When fi tting the mat for the fi rst time,
use only the fi xings provided in the
wallet attached.
Removal
To remove the mat on the driver's side:

 move the seat as far back as
possible,

 unclip the fi xings,

 remove the mat.
Refitting
To refi t the mat on the driver's side:

 position the mat correctly,

 refi t the fi xings by pressing,

 check that the mat is secured
correctly. To avoid any risk of jamming of the
pedals:
- only use mats which are suited
to the fi xings already present in
the vehicle; it is imperative that
these are used,
- never fi t one mat on top of another.
DOOR POCKETS
Front door
The front door pockets can hold
objects equivalent in volume to a
1.5 litre bottle.
They may have their own lighting,
coming on automatically when your
hand approaches.
This lighting goes out automatically
after a few moments when your hand
is taken away.
Rear door
The rear door pockets can hold
objects equivalent in volume to a
0.5 litre bottle.
USB BOX
This connection box, consisting of
a JACK socket and a USB port, is
located on the centre console.
It permits the connection of portable
equipment, such as a digital audio
player of the iPod ®
or USB stick type.
It reads the audio fi le formats which
are transmitted to your audio equip-
ment and played via the vehicle’s
speakers.
You can manage these fi les using
the steering wheel controls or the
audio equipment control panel and
display them on the multifunction
screen.
When it is in use, the portable equip-
ment charges automatically.

use of this equipment, refer to the
"Audio and Telematics" section.

04 USB READER
The system puts together playlists (temporary memory) created over a period which depends on the capacity of the USB e quipment.
Insert a USB stick or connector in the space provided, play begins automatically after a delay which depends on the capacity of the USB stick. The fi le formats recognised are .mp3 (mpeg1 layer 3 only), .wma (standard 9 only), .wav and .ogg.
Press and hold LIST to display the different classifi cations. Select by Folder/Artist/Genre/Playlist, press OK to select the classifi cation required, then press OK again to confi rm.
- by Folder: all folders containing audio fi les recognised on the peripheral device, classifi ed in alphabetical order without following the fl ow chart. - by Artist: all of the artist names defi ned in the ID3 Tags, classifi ed in alphabetical order. - by Genre: all of the genres defi ned in the ID3 Tags. - by Playlist: in accordance with the playlists recorded on the USB device.
This equipment reads 1.1, 1.2 and 2.0 USB sticks, as well as iPods ® of generation 5 or later via a ®USB connector. IPods ® earlier than generation 5 must be connected via the JACK socket. ® The list of compatible equipment is available from CITROËN dealers. The playlists accepted are .m3u, .pls and .wpl.

The other sources are available during this time. The playlists are updated each time the ignition is switched off or each time a USB stick is connected. When connecting for the fi rst time, the tracks are classifi ed by folder. When you reconnect, the classifi cation system selec ted previously is retained.

USING THE USB SOCKET
Press LIST to display the list of Folders/Genres/Artists/Playlists on the USB equipment. Navigate through the list using the left/right and up/down buttons. Confi rm the selection by pressing OK. The lists available are Artist, Genre and Playlist (as defi ned on the iPod ® ). ®
The operation is identical to that of a convention al USB peripheral device.
Do not connect a hard disc or USB devices other t han audio equipment to the USB socket. This could damage your installation.

Press one of these buttons to gain access to the previous/next track on the classifi cation list currently being played. Press and hold one of the buttons for fast forward or rewind play.

FIRST STEPS
1. On/Off and Volume adjustment.
2. Selection of the source: radio, Jukebox, CD, CD ch
anger and auxiliary (AUX, if activated on the Confi guration menu). Long press: CD copy to hard disc.
3. Audio option adjustments: front/rear, left/right b alance, loudness, sound ambiences.
4. Displaying of the list of local radio stations, of the tracks on the CD or of the MP3/USB/Jukebox directories. Long press: updating of the local radio stations.
5. Automatic search for a lower/higher frequency. Sel ection of the previous/next CD, MP3, USB or Jukebox track. Long press: fast forward and backward play.
6. Selection of the wavebands FM1, FM2, FMast, AM.
7. TA (Traffi c Announcement) function on/off. Long press: access to the PTY (radio Programme TYp es) mode.
8. Ejection of the CD.
9. SIM card slot.
10. Keypad for entering descriptions by successive presses.
11. Access to the "CITROËN" services menu.
12. Selection and confi rmation.
13. Selection of the previous/next CD. Selection of the previous/next MP3/USB/Jukebox dire ctory.
14. Cancellation of the current operation. Long press: return to the current application.
15. Displaying of the general menu.
16. Modifi cation of the screen display. Long press: reinitialisation of the system.
17. Selection of the display on the screen from the modes: TRIP, TEL, NAV and AUDIO.
18. Long press on the SOS button: emergency call.

If another source is being played, press the SOURCE button several times in succession and select USB to play it.
Press one of the buttons to select a track on the USB stick.
Press the LIST button to display the list of folders on the MP3 USB stick.
To eject the USB stick, use the short-cut menu (press OK) or press the MENU button, select AUDIO FUNCTIONS, USB, then select EJECT USB. The playing and displaying of an MP3 compilation may depend on the parameters programme used.

Press the voice recognition control to start the voice recognition. Say the words one by one and wait for the audible confi rmation signal between each word. The list which follows is exhaustive.
