Dual-zone digital air conditioning

This air conditioning system operates with the engine running, but the ventilation and its controls
are available with the ignition on.
Operation of the air conditioning and regulation of temperature, air flow and air distribution in the passenger compartment are automatic.
Press the button for the " Air conditioning" menu to display the controls for the air conditioningsystem.


Temperature adjustment

The value indicated corresponds to a level of

In cold weather with the engine cold, the air flow is increased gradually until the system has warmed up, in order to limit the delivery of cold air into the passenger compartment. On entering the vehicle, if the interior temperature is much colder or warmer than the comfort value setting, thereis no need to alter the value displayed in order to reach more quickly therequired level of comfort. The systemcompensates automatically andcorrects the temperature difference as quickly as possible.
This settin
g is associated with AUTO mode
only. However, on deactivation o
f AUTO mode,
the indicator for the last setting remains on.
Changing the setting does not reactivate AUTO mode if deactivated.
When the indicator lamp in the button is on, the
air conditioning system operates automatically:
the system manages the temperature, air flow and air distribution in the passenger compartment in an optimum way according to
the comfor t level you have selected.
It is possible to modulate the intensity of the automatic comfort programme by choosing one
of three mode settings offered in a secondary page of the " Air conditioning " menu.

Press the "AUTO"
button
to activate or deactivate the automatic mode of the air conditioning system.

"Soft": provides soft and quiet

"Normal": offers the best compromise
between a com

and quiet operation (default setting).

You can modulate the distribution of air in the
passenger compartment using these three buttons.
Air fl ow adjustment


Avoid driving for too long with theventilation off (risk of misting and deterioration of air quality).
Air distribution adjustment

Press one of these buttons toincrease or decrease the speedof the booster fan.
The air
flow symbol (a fan) is filled inprogressively in relation to the quantity of air wanted.
By reducing the air flow to minimum, you are
stopping ventilation.
"OFF" is displayed alongside the fan. Win

Centre and side vents.
Each
press on a button activates or deactivates
the function. The indicator lamp is on when the
button is activated. For a uniform distribution in
the passenger compar tment, all three buttons can be pressed simultaneously.


Resuming manual control


You can manually adjust one or more settings,
while retaining automatic control of the other
functions:


- air flow,

-
air distribution.

Press the "AUTO"
button again
to activate the automatic comfort
programme again.

As soon as you modify a setting, the indicator
lamp in the "AUTO
" button goes off.

In AUT
O mode, the indicator lamps in all three buttons are off.

Avoid prolonged operation of the air recirculation function (risk of misting and of deterioration of the air quality).


"Mono" function

The comfort setting for the passenger's sidecan be indexed to the driver's comfort setting (mono-zone).

Turn the upper wheel to open or close therear vent. )
Turn the lower knob to reduce (to the left)
or increase (to the right) the air flow.

Adjust the flow of air to the two vents usingthe four-position wheel (off, low, medium, high).

Front Demist - Defrost

Press this button to demist or defrost the windscreen and side
windows as quickly as possible.
The indicator lamp in the button
comes on.
With Stop & Star t, when demisting hasbeen activated, the STOP mode is notavailable. The s
ystem automatically manages the air
conditioning, air flow and air intake, and provides optimum distribution towards the
windscreen and side windows. )To switch it off press this button, the
indicator lamp goes off.


Ventilation with ignition on
function
With the ignition on, you can use the
ventilation system and have access to the " Airconditioning " menu to adjust the air flow and air distribution in the passenger compartment.
This function is available for a few minutes,
dependin
g on the state of charge of the battery
of your vehicle.
Thi
s function does not activate the air conditioning.
You can make use of the residual heat in theengine to warm the passenger compar tment
using the temperature setting buttons.

Rear screen demist - defrost


Switching onSwitchin

) Press this button to demist/defrost
the rear screen and (depending
on version) the door mirrors. The
indicator lamp associated with the
button comes on.

The demisting/defrosting switches off automatically
to prevent an excessive consumption of current.
The rear screen demist - defrostcan only operate when the engine isrunning.


Switch off the heating of the rear screen and door mirrors as soon as you judgeit possible, as reducing the consumption of electrical current reduces fuel consumption.

It is possible to stop the demisting/defrosting operation before it is switched off automatically by pressing the button again. The
indicator lamp associated with the
button switches off.

Scented air freshener
The scented air freshener releases a fragrance into the passenger compartment via the central air vents.
)Rotate the button A
to adjust (to the left
to reduce, to the right to increase) or stop (maximum to the left) the flow of scentedair.
The central air vents have to be open.

To insert the air freshener

A cartridge lasts on average 3 months,based on one hour’s usage per day.



The air freshener contains an empty cartridge when your vehicle is delivered.
You therefore need to insert a cartridgein order to use the air freshener.

You can change car tridges at any time, keepingthe used cartridges in their original containers.


Replacing a cartridge

the car tridge. Cartridges are supplied without
the air freshener button A
.
The button of the air freshener Acan only be
fitted to the centre of the dashboard with acartridge attached.
Therefore always keep the air freshener button A and one car tridge. Replacement car tridges are available,
depending on country, either on the Internet
site or from a CITROËN dealer or a
qualifiedworkshop.
Locations are provided in the glove box for
storing cartridges and containers.
Air freshener button

For safety, use only cartridges that areprovided for this purpose.
Retain the containers for storing used cartridges.
Do not recharge or dismantle the cartridges.
Keep them out of reach of children and animals. Avoid all contact with the skin and with the eyes.
In the event of ingestion, consult a doctor and show them the productpackaging or label.
Do not install or remove a car tridge while you are driving.
