AlarmSystem which protects and provides a deterrent against theft and break-ins. It provides the following types of monitoring:
- Exterior perimeter
The system checks for opening of the vehicle.
T he alarm is triggered if anyone tries to open a
d
oor, the boot or the bonnet...
- Interior volumetric
The system checks for any variation in the volume in the passenger compartment.
The
alarm is triggered if anyone breaks a
w
indow, enters the passenger compartment or
m
oves inside the vehicle.
Self-protection function
The system checks for the disconnection of any of its components.
The
alarm is triggered if the battery,
t
he button or the wires of the siren are
disconnected
o
r
d
amaged.
Locking the vehicle with full
alarm system
Activation
If an opening (door, boot, bonnet...) is not closed fully, the vehicle is not locked but the
e
xterior perimeter monitoring will be activated
a
fter a delay of 45 seconds, at the same time
a
s the interior volumetric monitoring.
F

ock the vehicle using the
r
emote control.
F
Switch off the ignition and get out of the vehicle.
or
F
L ock the vehicle using the "Keyless Entry
a
nd Starting" system.
The
monitoring system is active: the indicator
l
amp in the button flashes once per second and
t
he the direction indicators come on for about
2
seconds.
After
an instruction to lock the vehicle locked
u
sing the remote control or the Keyless Entry
a
nd Starting system, the exterior perimeter
m
onitoring is activated after a delay of
5
seconds, the interior volumetric monitoring
a
fter 45 seconds.

monitoring only
Deactivate the interior volumetric monitoring to avoid unwanted triggering of the alarm in
c
ertain cases such as:

eaving a window partially open,

ashing your vehicle,

hanging a wheel.

To
be
effective, this deactivation must be done

very
time the ignition is switched off.
In
the
case
of
automatic
locking
of
the
v
ehicle
(which
occurs
after
a
period
of
3
0
seconds
if
a
door
or
the
boot
is
not
o
pened),
the
monitoring
system
is
not
r
eactivated
automatically.
To
reactivate
i
t,
it
is
necessary
to
unlock
the
vehicle
a
nd
lock
it
again,
using
the
remote
c
ontrol
or
the
"Keyless
Entry
and
S
tarting"
system.
Deactivation

one of the unlocking buttons on the r
emote control:

nlock the vehicle using the "Keyless Entry

nd Starting" system.
The
monitoring system is deactivated: the

ndicator lamp in the button is off and the

irection indicators flash for about 2 seconds.

Reactivation of the interior
volumetric monitoring
F Deactivate the exterior perimeter m
onitoring by unlocking the vehicle using
t
he remote control or the Keyless Entry and
S
tarting system.
The
indicator lamp in the button goes off.
F
R
eactivate the full alarm system by locking
t
he vehicle using the remote control or the
"
Keyless Entry and Starting" system.
The
indicator lamp in the button flashes
o
nce per second again.
Triggering of the alarm
This is indicated by sounding of the siren
a nd flashing of the direction indicators for
thirty
seconds.
The
monitoring functions remain active until
t
he alarm has been triggered eleven times in
s
uccession.
When
the vehicle is unlocked using the remote
c
ontrol or the Keyless Entry and Starting
s
ystem, rapid flashing of the indicator lamp
i
n the button informs you that the alarm was
t
riggered during your absence. When the
i
gnition is switched on, this flashing stops
i
mmediately.
Failure of the remote control
To deactivate the monitoring functions:

nlock the vehicle using the key (integral
w
ith the remote control) in the driver's door
l
ock.
F
O
pen the door; the alarm is triggered.
F
S
witch on the ignition; the alarm stops.
T
he indicator lamp in the button goes off.
Locking the vehicle without
activating the alarm
F Lock or deadlock the vehicle using the key (
integral with the remote control) in the
d
river's door lock.
Operating fault
When the ignition is switched on, fixed illumination of the indicator lamp in the button
i
ndicates a fault in the system.
Have
it checked by a CITROËN dealer or a
q
ualified
w
orkshop.
Automatic activation*
2 minutes after the last door or the boot is closed, the system is activated automatically.

To avoid triggering the alarm on entering the vehicle, first press the unlocking button o
n the remote control or unlock the vehicle
u
sing the Keyless Entry and Starting system.

Electric windows
Manual operation
To open or close the window, press or pull the switch gently. The window stops as soon as the
s
witch is released.
Safety anti-pinch
When the window rises and meets an obstacle, it stops and immediately partially lowers again.
In
the event of unwanted opening of the
w
indow on closing, press the switch until the
w
indow opens completely, then pull the switch
i
mmediately until the window closes. Continue
t
o

The
safety anti-pinch function is not active

Automatic operation
To open or close the window, press or pull s witch fully: the window opens or closes

ompletely when the switch is released.

ressing the switch again stops the movement

f the window.
The
electric window switches remain

perational for approximately 45 seconds after
s
witching off the ignition.
Once
this time has elapsed, the electric
w
indows will not operate. To reactivate them,
s
witch the ignition on again.

Reinitialisation of
the electric windows
Deactivating the rear controls
for the rear windowsIn the event of contact during operation o
f the windows, you must reverse the
m
ovement of the window. To do this,
p
ress the switch concerned.
When
operating the passenger electric
w
indow switches, the driver must
e
nsure that nothing is preventing
c
orrect closing of the windows.
The
driver must ensure that the
p
assengers use the electric windows
c
o r r e c t l y.
Be
particularly aware of children when
o
perating
t
he
w
indows.
Be
aware of passengers or other
p
ersons present when closing the
w
indows using the the electronic key
o
r the "Keyless Entry and Starting"
s
ystem.
Following
reconnection
of
the
battery,
the
s
afety
anti-pinch
function
must
be
reinitialised.
The
safety
anti-pinch
function
is
not
active
d
uring
these
operations.
For
the
safety
of
your
children,
press
s
witch 5 to prevent operation of the
rear
windows
irrespective
of
their
p
ositions.
The
warning
lamp
in
the
button
comes
on,
a
ccompanied
by
a
message
confirming
a
ctivation.
It
remains
on,
as
long
as
the
child
l
ock
is
deactivated.
Use
of
the
rear
electric
windows
from
the
d
river's
controls
remains
possible. For
each
window:
-
l
ower
the
window
completely,
then
raise
it,
i
t
will
rise
in
steps
of
a
few
centimetres
with
e
ach
action.
Repeat
the
operation
until
the
w
indow
closes
completely,
-
c
ontinue
to
pull
the
switch
for
at
least
o
ne second
after
reaching
this
position,
w
indow
c
losed.

Manual adjustments
Forwards-backwards
F Raise the control bar and slide the seat f
or wards or backwards.
When the seat is in the correct position, push
it
for wards and backwards without raising the
c
ontrol bar to check that the it has latched.
Driver's seat backrest angle
F Turn the knob to adjust the seat backrest.
As
a
safety
measure,
seat
adjustments
should only be done when stationary.
Driver's seat height
F Pull
the control upwards to raise or push i
t downwards to lower, as many times as
n
ecessary, to obtain the position required.
Seat
consisting
of
a
seat
cushion,
a
seat
back
and
a
head
restraint
which
can
all
be
adjusted
to
a
dapt
your
position
for
ease
of
driving
and
comfort.
Before
moving
the
seat
backwards,
ensure
that
there
is
nothing
that
might
prevent
the
full
travel
of the seat, so as to avoid the risk of of jamming
t
he
seat
caused
by
the
presence
of
objects
on
the
floor
behind
the
seat
or
rear
passengers.
If
the
seat jams, stop the movement immediately.

Passenger's seat backrest angle

the backrest angle is correct, release the

Table position for the
passenger's seat backrest
This position, associated with the position of the rear seats, allows you to carry long objects
i
nside the vehicle.
When the backrest is at the correct angle, release the control lever. To ensure that the b
ackrest does not suddenly fold for wards
a
nd hurt you, restrain it with your back or
y
our hand while operating the control.
Check that there is no object that could inter fere with the movement of the seat,
b
oth above and below.

Before moving the seat backwards, ensure that there is nothing that might prevent the full travel of the seat, so as to avoid the risk of of jamming the seat caused by the presence of objects on the floor behind the seat or rear passengers. If the seat jams, stop the movement immediately.

Additional adjustments
Head restraint height and angle
(depending on version)
The head restraint is fitted with a frame with notches which prevents it from lowering; this is
a
safety device in case of impact.
The adjustment is correct when the upper
edge of the head restraint is level with the
