Deactivation warning lamps
If one of the following warning lamps
comes on, this confi rms that the
corresponding system has been
switched off intentionally.
Passenger's airbag system
deactivation Dynamic stability control
(ESP/ASR) deactivation
The ESP/ASR system is put
into service automatically
when the vehicle is started.
A specifi c button, located in the centre
of the dashboard, permits deactiva-
tion of the system. This is confi rmed
by continuous lighting of this warning
lamp and of the indicator lamp on the
button.
From approximately 30 mph (50 km/h),
the system is reactivated automati-
cally. Warning lamps
Diesel engine
pre-heating
Wait until this goes off before oper-
ating the starter.
When the engine is running or the
vehicle is moving, the lighting of
one of the following warning lamps
indicates the occurrence of a fault
requiring intervention on the part of
the driver.
Any fault resulting in the displaying
of a warning lamp must be investi-
gated further by reading the associ-
ated message on the multifunction
screen.
Should you encounter any problems,
do not hesitate to contact a CITROËN
dealer.
Front passenger's airbag
activation
If this comes on temporarily when
the ignition is switched on, it indi-
cates that the front passenger's airbag
is active.
The passenger's airbag sys-
tem is put into service auto-
matically when the vehicle is
started.
A specifi c control, located in the glove
box, permits deactivation of the sys-
tem. This is confi rmed by continuous
lighting of this warning lamp on the
instrument panel or a message on
the multifunction screen.

VENTILATION

A. Sunshine sensor.

B. Soft air diffusion grille.
The soft air diffusion grille locat- ed in the centre of the dashboard
provides optimum distribution of
the air for the front seats.
This system eliminates unpleas- ant air currents while maintain-
ing an optimum temperature in
the passenger compartment.
To open the soft air diffusion grille, turn the wheel upwards.
To close the soft air diffusion grille, turn the wheel fully downwards.
In very hot weather, to obtain more satisfactory central and
side ventilation, it is advisable to
close the diffused air grille.

PROGRAMMABLE HEATING *
With the engine off, programmable
heating preheats the coolant circuit
in order to optimise the engine op-
erating temperature prior to starting.
The programmable heating sys-
tem can be started immediately or
delayed thanks to its programming
function. With the engine idle or the vehicle
stationary, it is normal to hear a
high-pitched whistling noise and
to notice some smoke/emissions. Digital programmer
The heating system’s programmer is
located on the right-hand side of the
dashboard.

1. Time or remaining functioning
time.

2. Increase (time).

3. Select programme.

5. Immediate start-up of heating.

Press button 3 several times until the
programme number corresponding
to the required programme time is
displayed. The chosen pre-selected
time is activated automatically after
10 seconds if no other buttons have
been pressed.
To confi rm that the mode is activated,
symbols 4 and 8 fl ash until the heat-
ing starts up.
When the heating starts up, the warn-
ing lamp 9 lights up on the dashboard
and the programmer screen.
 Press button 3 briefl y: the display
of the start-up time goes off.
In the event of a battery failure, the
factory settings are restored.
Stopping the heating system
while operating

 Press button 5 .
The warning lamp 8 and the screen
go out. When a programme is operating,
pressing button
2 or 7 displays the
heating start-up time. A second
press on these buttons displays the
time.
When a programme is not operat-
ing, pressing button 2 or 7 displays
the time.
When the heating is operating, the
remaining operating duration is dis-
played instead of the time.

AMBIENT LIGHTING
Your vehicle is equipped with warm
and welcoming ambient lighting.
A soft orange light is emitted.
Operation
When starting the engine, with the
vehicle lighting on, lamps located
along the dashboard are activated. Central console
The lamps are located on the roof
console, near the front interior lamp.
They light up the central console.

These lamps are activated with the
automatic switching on of the lamps,
when the exterior light is poor. They
are deactivated when the instrument
panel goes out.
The intensity of the lighting varies along
with that of the instrument panel.

duce the intensity of the lighting. They are located on the front and
rear interior door opening controls.
The rear door opening controls light-
ing is deactivated if child safety is
activated.

from ahead or from the side and
courtesy system with illuminated
mirror. SKI FLAP
A fl ap in the backrest, located to the
rear of the armrest, facilitates the
carrying of long objects.

 With the ignition on, lift the fl ap;
the mirror is illuminated automati-
cally.
To prevent dazzle from ahead, fold
the visor downwards.
It can be disengaged from its central
fi xing and pivoted over to the side
windows if required. AIR CONDITIONED
GLOVEBOX

 To open the glovebox, pull on the
handle and lower the lid.
The glovebox has a manually clos-
able air conditioning vent B .
It has 2 or 3 sockets C to connect
audio/video equipment.
It has automatic lighting.
It provides access to the dashboard
fusebox.

Whilst driving, the
glovebox should be kept
closed. To open

 Lower the rear armrest.

 Pull the fl ap handle down.

 Lower the fl ap.

 Load the objects from inside the
boot.
Ensure that the objects are well se-
cured and that they do not impede
the operation of the gear lever.
